The distance between the highest point of a fret and the strings. Different styles if playing may require different actions. Metal/shred will have lower ones while rock/blues will have higher ones. But a typical set up (measured from the top of the 17th fret to the bottom of each string) is around 4/64 if an inch.

It is not stated in his strap, but i am guessing it is a Yamaha strap considering that he uses a Yamaha guitar. Hope that answers your question. :P

How do you attach a microphone to an amplifier? Go with your microphone output to the input of the pre-amplifier. Look for the correct connections and care for the right voltage. Often you need e.g. symmetric 48 volts phantom powering or 5 volts or so for the electret microphone amplifier.

Antonio Torres Jurado is generally credited with inventing the modern classical guitar, however, the history of making classical guitars goes back more than 5000 years.

It most definitely is, depending on your musical talent and your ear for music. I personally learned how to play guitar reasonably well within a few months - and people were amazed when they saw me within a year. It all depends on how well you can understand learning tabs, and the speed of understanding them.

For a beginner or casual user it is a very good guitar. I purchased the Guitar and amp packagae in 2011 and have used it for a year. There are only two and a half negative things I can say about it

1) The plastic strap that comes with it digs into your skin and is very irritating.

2) The amplifier sound decent with clean sound but the gain doesn't kick in until you turn up the volume to the point that the entire house is listening to you. I remedied that by buying an $80 zoom G1-XN multi-effects peddle.

2.5) The strat style tremolo bridge. Once you use it a few times you are now out of tune.

The body is agathis (good strength to weight ratio) so it weighs half as much as a Fender Strat. The build quality is decent. Once I adjusted the neck, bridge saddles and pick-up heights it started to feel like a real guitar except much lighter. As for tones, It might not sound like a $3000 JEM guitar but it's not bad.

Actually not as simple as "taking them off and putting on new ones".

When replacing strings on any instrument, you want to do them one at a time. So, for example, on a guitar, I start with the low E string (low meaning tone, not position). Remove it by unwinding it until it's loose (never just cut strings) and then replacing it. Then move to the next and so on.

The reason why we do this is because there is a balance between the string tension and the neck tension. If you remove all of that string tension at once, it can "mess with" the natural memory of the wood and metal truss rod that make up the neck.

In order to actually change the strings you need to take the new string and hook it into the bridge (there should be a small lump whick hooks in.

The take the other end and poke it through a small hole which should be in the bolt on the machinehead- leaving about 5/6 inches on the other side. This is the fiddly bit so you might need to try this next bit a couple of times.

OK- so pull both helves of the string against the bolt so they bend and stay in place. Then start turning the machine head (you can do it in either direction- just ensure you turn them all the same way). Whilst doing this you need to keep pulling on the end which is atched to the bridge in order to keep the tnsion and get it wound nice and tight. Keep turning- this may take a while until it is fairly close to the right tension.

Something I would advise is running your finger under the string when it's nearly tight enough which stretches the string slightly so the guitar won't fall out of tune so often affter changing.

Repeat with all the other strings until VOILA! you have a newly strung guitar.

The inside of the cello is hollow. There is a sound posts (wooden dowel) that presses against the treble side of the front and back of the cello, to help with the sound. There is a bar that is glued to the top which strengthens the bass side. There are 2-6 blocks, one to support the neck, one for the endpin and 4 for the corners on most instruments.
