Cichlid food is designed for mainly carnivorous fish to eat. Guppies are omnivorous and so would be able to eat some of the cichlid food but they would be missing out on a large part of their diet. Tropical fish flakes are fairly well balanced for guppies.

Once again i recommend reading the ingredient list of the two different fish foods and comparing the different values. If the one you want to supplement is lacking in something that fish has in it's specific food then supplement it in If you read the labels you will see almost no to actually NO difference between the foods for many fish other than the picture on the label of the food. They breed every 4 weeks and they can have up to 4-123 babies. Put in lots of plants so the baby Mollies can hide from the other fish in the tank. Separate the baby mollies in a 2+ gallon tank and feed them crushed algae flake food 4 times a day.

If the fry are small enough to be eaten by the female guppy then she will eat them. If your community tank is well planted and you have plenty of hidey holes that the fry could hide in but the other adult fish can't enter, then the fry would have a better chance of survival out of the breeding/fry tank.
