Sisyhus had to roll a boulder up a steep hill; when he got to the top, the stone would rolled back down, so he had to do this every time and never completed the task so it goes on endlessly.
Tantalus was made to stand in a pool of water with fruit handing just out of reach, if he tried to eat or drink - they moved away so he was always tormented by thirst and hunger.

Why did Hades return Eurydice to earth?
He didn't, actually. When Eurydice had died of a snake bite, Orpheus, beside himself with grief, decided to travel to the underworld to try and get her back. He sang and played his way past Cerberus and Charon and finally stood before Hades and Persephone. At first Hades staunchly refused to let Eurydice return to land of the living, but then Orpheus sang of his love and loss so beautifully that even the god of the dead was moved.
He summoned Eurydice's spirit and told Orpheus that she would follow up to the world of day and be his living wife again. However, if he looked back at her before they stood in the sunlight together, she would vanish back into the underworld and no new pleas would convince Hades to release her again. Orpheus, however, was unable to keep from making sure that she was truly following him, looked back too soon and lost her again.
After his death he was reunited with her and together they dwelt forever
in the gardens of Elysium, the ancient Greek version of paradise.
No, he could not. Hades was the lord of the underworld and is often considered the symbol of darkness and invisibility.
In Greek Mythology the underworld is nothing like what most people associate the word 'underworld' with. Most people think the underworld is like hell, thus there must be fire.
nuh uh,
wrong.
The underworld is where all dead went, the good, the bad, the neutral. The underworld was described as a dark and cold place. In fact the only place the might contain fire would be the fields of Punishment or Ttartarus.
The only reason why people believe Hades can control fire is because Disneys Hercules portrays him as so.
Trust me I did an assignment on him, I know what I'm talking about
According to ancient Greek religion Hades actually was a god and technically and Olympian but he never considered himself one. This is because of the way he was treated by his two brothers Zeus and Poseidon the three of them are the big three, of the gods.
No one did. Kronos, his father, ate him so that no one could over throw him but gods are immortal so he didn't die. Others were eaten too. Zeus was switched out with a stone baby so he couldn't get eaten. When he got older Kronos ate him because Zeus came back to defeat him. Zeus pulled a herb out of his belt and it made Kronos throw up all his other kids. Demeter landed in a field, Poseidon in water (etc.) and Hades in a crater that he made when he landed. Basically he grew up in his fathers stomach. Kronos was cut up into tiny peaces and guarded by his 3 mutant brothers and sister.
Alcestis, for Admetos.
Why do you need a gold coin to get into hades?
Because if you have no money to pay the ferryman, Charon,
he will not row you across the river Styx and you will have
to wander the shores of the river for one hundred years.
This is also true for people whose bodies are left unburied.

What is hades symbol associated with?
His ordinary attributes are the key of Hades and Cerberus.
Cerberus is the guard of the Underworld, he keeps the ghosts of the dead from returning to earth.
The Key of Hades aren't known to either be the opening to a gate within the Underworld or to the Underworld itself.
Because he is the God of the Dead and the Lord of the Underworld.
He and his siblings threw down the Titans, as king of the Underworld he gave the ghosts of the dead law to be judged and so he was called their ruler, he was master of the dreams as the gates of false dreams and true dreams laid within his realm; and the Furies, vengeful goddesses who punished those who committed a crime - mostly of killing either parents or siblings answered to him, he asked for his bride and queen from Zeus and then was granted the promise of her marriage and when she came of age kidnapped her. There are many other myths of Hades but few can be put into any true order.
