NOTE: They took out the double shot from halo 2 in halo 3 so that wont work. The following is a glitch in the game that that didn't notice allows you to double shot.
1. Get killed without firing a shot at least 5 times to start the glitch (I know this is annoying but this will start to game to glitch for you).
2. Now, to start the glitch ether get blown up by someone else or yourself and shoot 3 shots from the weapon that your holding before all your energy fully runs out and you die. (You have to be REALLY QUICK to pull this off but its worth it!)
3. Now your fully glitch and can double shoot. and best of all you don't have to do any button press because the game glitches up (but only for you) and (some) of your guns have double the shot fire and faster reloading.
NOTE: This glitch can be hard to pull off at 1st so if you don't get it right the 1st couple of times just retry till you get it right.
TIP: If your playing on a team game you can get your teammates to help (kill) you to get the cheat to work.

first you have to go into Custom Games and choose a game type from the type that you want (eg. Slayer or Juggernaut), so If you wanted to make a Slayer game type, just choose, like, Team Slayer or something. Then when it goes back to the main custom games menu press "X", then just go through all the different stuff and change what you want.
it means exactly as it sounds.. the difficulty is legendary and you have to complete a campain mission without dying.. which to me is impossible unless you have a friend doing all the killing while you sit in the background
