Heaven and Hell

From the earliest civilizations mankind has questioned the concept of a God or higher power as creator. Many religions believe in the concept of a heaven and a hell as a place that souls go to reside after death. Endlessly fascinating and at times controversial, Heaven and Hell are a part of the human experience.

If bullets were covered with pig grease then shot into Muslims would they go to heaven or hell?

If some wrote a really retarded question and posted it, would they expect a serious response?

Well, lets examine the facts:

A)Both the Quarn and the Bible clearly says that you shall avoid pork at all costs.

B)Disobeying God is a sin and can result in hell.

C)The idea- expand your brain while closing your mouth if you can- is by putting pork grease all over the bullets then shotting the muslims, they would have pork in them- meaning under their belief systems they CANNOT enter heaven.

If you were so zelous of your beliefs, and expecially since the Russians roughly 20 years ago had made it a habit of burning the leftovers of sucide bombers with pork fat so they would never enter heaven- how desperate would you be to blow yourself up knowing that if just ONE DROP OF YOUR BLOOD SURVIVED, AND IT WAS BURNT WITH PIG FAT YOU WOULD GO TO HELL?

Who judges the souls that go to hell?

No one gets judged until the end of the Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:14). God will judge each and every person who has ever existed, currently exists or will exist.

No matter where you went, Heaven or Hell... You are going to be judged by the same person.

The people who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved. (All of their wrongdoings will have been paid in full by the blood of Jesus on the cross) whereas those who never believed or refuse to believe in Jesus will suffer eternal judgement. God will never again hear them. (So in short. It's God who's gonna judge everyone).

Will you go to hell if you fornicate?

Religious beliefs vary greatly, but in some faiths, premarital sex may be considered a sin. It's important to seek guidance from your religious leader or consult your faith's teachings to understand the consequences of such actions within your belief system.

Why do the dead walk the earth if it is supposed to go to heaven or hell?

Well, usually when you die, you get a choice if you want to go to Heaven, Hell, or stay on earth. Some spirits stay on earth because they are afraid of the after life and life on Earth is all they have ever known.

Biblical references of heaven and hell?

Hell is real story of Lazarus (John chap. 11).

The following are examples of the different terminology in the Bible often considered to reference the concept of "heaven":

the kingdom-of-heaven-2(Matthew 5:3), the kingdom of the Father (Matthew 13:43), life (Matthew 7:14), life everlasting (Matthew 19:16), the joy of the Lord (Matthew 25:21), great reward (Matthew 5:12), the kingdom of God (Mark 9:45), the kingdom of Christ (Luke 22:30), the house of the Father (John 14:2), city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem (Hebr., xii), the holy place (Hebrews 9:12; D. V. holies), paradise (2 Corinthians 12:4), incorruptible crown (1 Corinthians 9:25), crown of life (James 1:12), crown of justice (II Timothy iv, 8), crown of glory (1 Peter 5:4)

Some faiths teach that one enters heaven at the moment of death, while others teach that this occurs at a later time (day of judgement). Some of Christianity along with other major religions maintain that entry into Heaven awaits such time as, "When the form of this world has passed away." (*JPII) One view expressed in the Bible is that on the day Christ returns the righteous dead are resurrected first, and then those who are alive and judged righteous will be brought up to join them, to be taken to heaven. (I Thess 4:13-18)

The Christian doctrine of hell derives from the teaching of the new-testament, where hell is typically described using the Greek words tartarusor hadesor the Hebrew word gehenna. These three terms have different meanings and must be recognized. tartarusoccurs only once in the New Testament in II Peter 2:4 and is translated as a place of incarceration of demons. It mentions nothing about human souls being sent there in the afterlife. hadeshas similarities to the Old Testament term, sheolas "the place of the dead", or in other words, the grave. Thus, it is used in reference to both the righteous and the wicked, since both wind up there eventually.hell-2gehennarefers to the "Valley of Hinnon", which was a garbage dump outside of Jerusalem. It was a place where people burned their garbage and thus there was always a fire burning there. Bodies of those deemed to have died in sin without hope of salvation (such as people who committed suicide) were thrown there to be destroyed.hell-2gehennais used in the New Testament as a metaphor for the final place of punishment for the wicked after the resurrection.hell-2Hell is taught as the final destiny of those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their savior after they have passed through the great white throne of judgment hell-2hell-2, where they will be punished for sinand permanently separated from God after the resurrection-of-the-deadand last-judgment. Some Christian theologians of the early Church and some of the modern Church subscribe to the doctrines of conditional-immortality. Conditional Immortality is the belief that the soul dies with the body and does not live again until the resurrection. This is the view held by Orthodox Jews and a few Christian sects, such as the Living Church of God, The Church of God International, and Seventh Day Adventist Church. ("annihilationism") is the belief that the soul is immortal but can be completely destroyed in Hell. This view is held by sects such as Jehovah's Witnesses. universal-reconciliationis the belief that all human souls (and even Demons) will be eventually reconciled with God and admitted to Heaven. This view is held by some Unitarian-Universalists

Did the people who killed Jesus go to hell or heaven?

That is God's decision alone for only He knows the secrets of human hearts. Only He can judge repentance. Ultimately, whether or not we think ourselves or others worthy of salvation we are all at His mercy.

How can you go to heaven?

Christian view: The only way is to give your heart to Jesus Christ - to acknowledge your need for a saviour and to recognize that He is the One who will gain you access to Heaven. You must repent of your sins, turn from them, and imitate God - read your Bible and follow what it says, in order to show your love for Him. Find a pastor to talk to and a good church to attend. Being around other Christians, if they're truly born again, will help you stay strong and keep your relationship with Him genuine; it is good to get encouraged and to encourage others in the faith. Don't get discouraged, and be careful to avoid getting distracted from focusing on Him by the things in this life - for this life will pass away, but life with Him, eternal life in Heaven, will last forever.

Atheist view: You can't as it doesn't exist. Heaven is merely an idea to help people cope with the idea of death, and shield them from the reality of nothingness.

Other non-standard view: Be a good person. Do not make excuses for not doing good things. Make an effort to do good to others every day. Give of yourself. Show compassion. Attempt to live life to the fullest. Realize which of your personal ambitions will actually help the world as a whole, as opposed to provide limited gratification to yourself.

Another Standard View If you want to go God's heaven then you have to believe what that God says.

Acts 4 (v.12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

To become a Christian all you have to do is repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and He'll do the rest.

(v.3) For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, (v.4) and that He wasburied, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures;

reading Koran and doings its instructions.

It very much depends on which spiritual beliefs you have. Most gods demand obedience to their rules. However the rules are different depending on the god.

Heaven is only for godly men. In order to go to heaven, one must follow and obey the commandments of God. One must persevere until the end in order to be saved and gain eternal life, thus.

Believe in Jesus Christ and read the holy bible, he is the only way to heaven unless you are perfect which you aren't, I'm sure of it any one else is fake. See you in heaven

Another Answer:

In order to truly be assured of salvation...

First, have faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Therefore, in order to please God and thus gain eternal life, you must have faith in God. Though, you must know the true God. To know the true God is to gain eternal life.

God is spirit. He is not man. He is All-Powerful, Almighty, forgiving, great, just, kind, loving, merciful, no-evil, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. God has no beginning and no end. He is therefore immortal. God is the Creator and Ruler of all. You may call God "All-Powerful", "God the Father", "LORD". You may also call Him "Almighty Father in Heaven" or just simply "God".

God is love. His love for all of us is immeasurable. Commit a thousand sins and He will still be good to you. That is how great God is. He is understanding.

Second, accept and believe in Christ as the only mediator between God and men as well as our Savior. Another thing you need to know is that God and Jesus Christ are different. Christ is man with bones and flesh. He is the Lord and Savior. He is the son of God, was made to be without sin. No deceit was found in His mouth. Earlier mentioned, God cannot die. And since Christ died on the cross for us, He is therefore not God but the son of God.

Third, hear the gospel. The gospel of Christ is truth. Accept the truth, therefore. Believe the truth. Embrace it. Understand.

Fourth, join the true Church of Christ. To be a member of the flock is to be a true disciple of Christ.

Fifth, follow and obey the commandments of God and Jesus.

Sixth, pray for salvation. Ask God to lead you to the path of salvation.

And that is it.

If you take your own life do you go to hell?

if someone were to cause suicide like to fall off a cliff of stab themselves it would prove to god that you do not appreciate the wonderful life he has given you. Remember this, life might not be easy but it's a gift from the heart of god. from my point of view, you wouldn't go to either heaven or hell, you might go to a black and cold universe that leaves you alone without anyone to help you, like a silint scream.

Can werewolves go to heaven?

Well, as far as Christianity goes - Jesus died to pay mankind's sin. So if a werewolf is a man then yes, he can go to heaven. There is this one verse that actually says "every creature" so that would include those beings that are not fully human. Mark 16:15

Are the 7 sacraments required to get into heaven?

According to the Catholic faith, yes. But the Bible seems to clearly tell Christians that God is only looking for a personal relationship with His Son Jesus (often called Salvation or Being Born Again) in order to bring you into heaven, but I am very sure it wont hurt to do the good deeds of the 7 Sacraments. Ultimately you must decided who and what you will believe. If you trust the Catholic church is right - then do them sacraments. If you trust the Bible then find out who Jesus is and how to believe on Him.

Can good people go to Heaven?

Well, everyone in heaven is good. But if you had the chance to talk with them, you may find that many of them would tell you that they were not good if life and that if it were not for God's great mercy and grace, they would not be there. But yes, I suppose good people can go to heaven. interestingly, in the second book of Peter, we are told God wants everyone to go to heaven and elsewhere in scripture (such as the book of John or Romans) we are further told that God Himself took care of the penalty of sin on the cross of Christ (thereby making all who believe "good") so that we all can go to heaven.

What does it mean when everyone goes to heaven when they die when in Revelations it says that Jesus will come and all souls will rise and go to heaven with him?

If you can say where this is in Revelation it might be easier to give an answer. Man is made of body soul and spirit maybe what you are asking about is the resurrection of bodies.

What is the relationship between heaven and hell?

Heaven and hell are often understood as contrasting realms in many religious and philosophical traditions, representing ultimate rewards and punishments, respectively. Heaven is typically depicted as a place of eternal bliss and communion with the divine, while hell is seen as a realm of suffering and separation from the divine presence. This dichotomy reflects moral and ethical beliefs about human behavior and the consequences of one's actions in life. Together, they serve to illustrate concepts of justice, morality, and the afterlife.

Are sounds from hell in Siberia real?

I don't think anyone knows for sure. There are some people that believe the sounds to be real screams from hell while others scoff at the idea.

Is hell really real?

no, it's not. heven and hell is not real

Catholic AnswerHell is about as real as it can get. Every single human being on the earth was created as an eternal being to love God. Because God wants us to love Him, freely, He has given all of us free will in order for us to choice our good, and to love Him. However, when our first parents fell, sin entered the world, and since that time we have all been born with a defective nature, which confuses us into choosing evil as a good. For those who truly love God, He has given us grace to overcome this and to live with Him in eternal happiness. For those who choose the immediate pleasure in front of them, thus rejecting God, there is exactly what they want: eternal separation from Him, which is known as Hell.

from Modern Catholic Dictionary by John A. Hardon, S.J. Doubleday & Co., Inc. Garden City, NY 1980.

Hell. The place and state of eternal punishment of the fallen angels and human beings who die deliberately estranged from the love of God. There is a twofold punishment in hell: the pain of loss, which consists in the deprivation of the vision of God, and the pain of sense, which consists in the suffering caused by outside material things. The punishment of hell is eternal, as declared by Christ in His prediction of the last day (Matthew 25:46), and as defined by the Fourth Lateran Council, stating that the wicked will "receive a perpetual punishment with the devil" (Denzinger 801). The existence of hell is consistent with divine justice, since God respects human freedom and those who are lost actually condemn themselves by their resistance to the grace of God.

from The Catechism of the Catholic Church, second edition, English translation 1994Hell

1033 We cannot be united with God unless we freely choose to love him. But we cannot love God if we sin gravely against him, against our neighbor or against ourselves: "He who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. (1 Jn 3:14-15) Our Lord warns us that we shall be separated from him if we fail to meet the serious needs of the poor and the little ones who are his brethren. (Cf. Mt25:31-46) To die in mortal sin without repenting and accepting God's merciful love means remaining separated from him for ever by our own free choice. This state of definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed is called "hell."

Is hell going to be fun?

Certainly not, Hell is not going to be fun by any stretch of a drugged out over-active imagination. Hell is nothing, it exists only in pain, in two kinds of pain: the pain of loss, which results from the eternal loss of the infinite happiness for which we were created - the love of God; and the pain of sense, which results in the pain of all of our senses which indulged in sin.
