There was not much that Herbert Hoover did not understand-- he was one of the most

intelligent of US presidents. He had a conservative philosophy of government that become

unpopular , but I think his choices were not based on lack of understanding. I think he knew

what he was doing and stood by his principles.

Herbert Hoover believed in the concept of individualism and self-reliance. He argued that excessive government assistance to the poor would undermine personal responsibility and the work ethic of individuals, discouraging them from seeking employment and relying on their own efforts. Hoover believed that self-reliance was essential for maintaining personal pride and fostering a productive society.

He was elected by 472 electoral votes to Hoover's 59. He had all the States except Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

I might not be right but I do remember something about president hoover creating the federal farm board to raise the prices on farm goods. I may be wrong though it was a long time ago

Herbert Hoover is buried in the small Iowa town where he was born. The community of West Branch in eastern Iowa is located 120 east of Des Moines and 13 miles east of Iowa City. The town of 3,000 is also home to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library, birthplace, and replicated buildings from the time of Hoover's birth. Hoover was born into a "Quaker" family and there are many of that faith in the town even today. A part of the Hoover site includes 110 year old Quaker meeting house.

President Hoover was looking for ways to help the country out of the Great Depression. He offered federal aid to banks and businesses hoping this in turn would help the citizens.

Most American citizens were outraged by Hoover's treatment of the Bonus Army. So much so, that he lost the election to Franklin D. Roosevelt.

No. Hoover vacuums were founded by a man named "Boss" Hoover, who purchased the patent from a man who suffered bad allergies, and invented a motorized "sweeper". They later added a suction motor, and it became a vacuum. The Hoover company was founded in the early 1900's.

That was the "CCC", or Civilian Conservation Corps". In my town, we can still see slight evidence of some sidewalks that they built, back then.

Hoover was quite wealthy when he was elected. The value of the dollar was much greater in those days-- I do not think he was a billionaire, just a multi-millionaire,

Yes. He was a mining engineer, ran his own consulting firm with great success and did work all over the world.
