I have a 93 del sol si. the door handle stopped working so I removed the inside door panel, which I've done before, so it that was the easy part. I had to put the spring back into position. Once the panel is removed, you'll see two holes on the door frame that allow you to access the nuts that hold the door handle in place. You access the nuts with a lug wrench extension. One remove the two nuts, the door handle comes loose. The hard part is you have to make sure the spring on the door handle is in place when you put the door handle back.

What should you upgrade in a Honda Del Sol?
the upgrade really depends on what the vehicle will be primarily used for. occasionally spirited driving, week end track sessions, full on race. When i began upgrading my Del Sol i started with intake, header, and exhaust. in that order. once i had those mods completed i began to realize what i wanted out of the vehicle. then i moved to full coilover suspension to brakes. After those mods were realized i moved on to a t3/t4 turbocharger set up and a body kit. Now i am rebuilding the engine using low compression pistons and better rods as well as alterations to my ECU. Hands down the best mods i have done is the suspension and the intake header and exhaust. although i replaced my header with my turbo manifold i really liked the look and performance i got out of the header.

There is a way to install a $3 relay under the dash that ties the "key still in ignition" beeper to the headlights. That is, when the headlights are on they activate the installed relay that activates the switch in the ignition keyswitch. The car thinks the key is still in the ignition and beeps when the door is opened. It is simple, elegant, takes a few minutes to install, and I have not killed a battery once since installing it. Search the Internet for the install instructions. Three wires. The relay coil goes from ground to a signal from the headlight switch. The switch contacts go from same ground to the appropriate wire of the ignition switch. Signals can be found using a schematic if you can't find instructions on the net. The relay is a 12V reed relay from The Shack.
