The human brain, regardless of all of our emotion and self-imposed drama, is always recording and learning from the experience on a conceptual level. However, the emotional state you experience helps to feed into the information your brain is processing about the overall event, and can help to "muddy the waters" of your neurological (brain) landscape.

Learn to turn the situation around from the perceived negative into a perceived positive, and realize you are still you regardless of how others treat you. The less emotional noise you offer your brain, the more analysis of the situation your brain can have access to. It's wired up to protect you, and the more you can help it by keeping your self esteem high, the better off you are.

Just remember to analyze events you experience and learn from them, and don't take it personally. It ain't your fault someone lied to you.

I am confused...was this answer to me??? I guess I wrote my question wrong...my 34 year old sister died six months ago suddenly last Saturday (didn't wake up) left behind 4 kids, husband, and I am trying to save everyone!!!! I can't make the lost better for my parents, for the kids (ages 2 -12) for my brother-in-law...etc. I am drowning in exhaustion and can't get ahead and was asked by my counselor of 2x's today of why am I trying to save everyone????

I think you have me confused...I am dealing with a horrible loss...and can't fix or make anybody's life better....I AM NOT TRYING TO KILL ANYONE.

When we "try to save someone" in the sense you are speaking of, it is usually because we hate to see people we care about and love suffer. Sometimes we feel we must be strong to care for our loved ones so that they don't become too overwhelmed by the emotions associated with the death of a family member. You need to remember, you are also within this family group, and you also need to allow yourself to grieve. The grieving period can be considerable and in some circumstances it may take years for a person to get back to "normal" life, especially a parent or spouse.

Just remember that the grieving process your family are going through is natural, and while it is great that you want to be there for them, don't forget about yourself. Make sure you are not withdrawing from your normal life activities too much, and maybe suggest your family members do the same. Keep a healthy diet, as grief can cause people to stop eating, and try to get a good amount of sleep. If this is proving difficult, consult a doctor or perhaps a mental health clinic.

It is a combination of culture and neurology. Men tend to lack the inhibitions to ask such questions, and they do not find them offensive. Some of the urge to ask such questions is the desire to compete using content intended to shock others.

I think the expression 'Men' is being abused quite freely here. Gross questions, male - quite surely; men - unlikely.

People take off there clothes to sleep or take a shower. That being said the point of the question probably is why people take off there clothes in public for no other reason then to expose themseveles.

There are many answeres to that. They may be looking for attention which is certainly a way to do that. They may also be trying to make a statement like when women expose their breasts in a protest against gender bias. Another reason is because it feels good sometimes when it is hot. It can also feel good to express freedom of restriction from clothing. Letting the wind cool your entire body. It is also done for money and because you are horny and it can also make you feel sexy and horny.
