I am no doctor but I just got the 2 of them prescribed by a doctor went to the pharmacy and was lucky the pharmacist was on the ball. I am allergic to codeine and ultram is a derivative and should not be taken by people that are allergic to codeine.
Well long story short I did some reading and though ultram is a great pain management drug all I have been reading it should not be taken with a muscle relaxer and in studies the 2 mixed have cause convulsions.
Like I said I am no doctor but after what I read, I would not recommend it.

There is no way to be sure. Although the active ingredient is very slow to break down, each manufacturer adds different quantities of other compounds to keep it potent. Most retail brands will maintain some effectiveness for months past the discard date.

Yes, both have Pseudophedrine as one of the active ingredients, so you will be taking more of it than recommended if you combine both.
The regular Zyrtec is just 10mg of Cetirizine. That should be OK to take with the advil cold and sinus but I would check with a doctor or pharmacist on the D versions of Claritin or Zyrtec with it.

How long for facial swelling from reaction to ibuprofen to subside?
What I noticed from personal experience is that the first time it swells it only happens for a couple hours. However, I didn't at first realize it was a reaction to Ibuprofen. A few times later, my upper lip swelled WAY beyond normal swelling, and remained that way throughout the night. My mom developed the same allergic reaction, and her doctor told her to never take ANY anti-inflammatories, as many of them will react the same way Ibuprofen does with your body. In addition, if you forget and you do indeed take Ibuprofen, you should call 911 and then take Benadryl, in THAT order, so help can arrive as quickly as possible, because the facial swelling can move to your throat, making it impossible to breathe.
