The iMac G3 is a computer produced by Apple Inc. The iMac G3 was first released August 15th, 1998, and was discontinued on March 18th, 2003. The iMac was released in Bondi blue, as well as a number or other colors.

The base 21.5" iMac comes with a 4GB of Ram and a 500 GB hard drive. You can upgrade to 8 GB of Ram. Top of the line 21.5" iMac can be upgraded to 16GB of Ram and comes with a 1TB hard drive and can be upgraded to a 2 TB hard drive. The 27" iMac comes with 4GB of Ram and 1TB hard drive. Can be upgraded to 16GB of Ram and a 2TB hard drive.

As with any Macintosh application pressing the Command and Q keys will quit the application. Clicking on Safari in the menu bar and then selecting Quit from the menu will have the same effect.

All the software you need comes preinstalled on an iMac.

If the iMac is listed under Devices you can select it, and the hard disc will be listed in the finder window. You can then drag the hard disc icon back into the Devices section. Although there is no real need to have such access to the hard disc with Mac OS X.

Alternatively you can select Computer from the Desktop/Finder's Go menu (Shortcut: Shift Command C) which should open a finder window with the hard disc shown.

If everything on your iMac screen appears larger than normal the screen's resolution will have been changed - probably by some game that failed to switch it back again. Open System Preferences and then click on the Displays button. You can now select from available screen resolutions. The greater the resolution the smaller items will appear on the screen.

Make sure the batteries are in the right way, and are the right batteries, and are live batteries. Also check your system to see if the mouse is being detected.

When I charge my iMac computer it has a magnetic force to it so that I know that it is plugged in.

The G3 iMac was current in 2001 and these have little value today as they are unable to run much of the latest software. At best around 50 (US$ or UK£) but they probably average around 20 - 30.

The iMac does video editing better than any Windows PC.

This doesn't really make sense. If you format the drive, you lose everything; it's blank. You can delete user accounts and still keep the operating system.
