A bad fuel pump will hinder the fuel supply to the engine. The engine can run rough with an inconsistent supply of fuel, or it will completely shut off.
On a 1998 Nissan sentra 4 cylinder when the timing belt breaks does it bend the valves
If you can open it from the inside then just take off the door panel and plastic lining. There will be 2 linkages coming form the outside handle 1 for the lock and the other for opening the door. Sometimes the linkages can stretch. Where the link connects to the actuator there is plastic bushing with height adjustment. Turn the bushing to the height that works if not bend the link slghtly. Remember to grease everthing with wd40.
Answer: I had a similar problem. The front driver door was locked permanently. So I opened the rear driver side door. From the rear door I drilled out the bracket which the doors latchs onto. This allowed me to open the driver side door. After that I was able to take off the panel and replace the power door latch assembly.
It's on the passenger side of the vehicle. When you look at the crankshaft pulley, the Alternator belt is the innermost (closest to the engine) belt.
The initial air intake is a small hole in the driver's side front fender. From there it goes into a box that filters water then on to the air filter and down through the bottom of it into the motor. The MAF sensor is part of the intake on the motor.

How do you remove/replace a water pump on a 1996 Infiniti J30? Remove radiator hoses. Remove induction tubing for the air filter. Remove the fan and all belts. Remove timing belt cover. Remove and replace thermostat at same time as pump. The water pump is BEHIND the timing belt. The timing belt will need replacing at this time to obtain access to the pump. I tried to replace mine on the side of the road in emergency situation by prying the timing belt out of the way. It worked, but I damaged the belt and the tensioner. And thusly, had to go back and replace those too. But common sense in the labor department: Replace the thermostat, water pump, fan blades and fan clutch, ALL radiator hoses, bypass hoses and clamps, radiator and belts at the same time. I have 250k on my J30, and these have all needed replacing eventually.
Should be one. OBD2 didn't start in any models as far as I know until 94.
