Yes you can. When a phone is deactivated, all that changes is you cannot use the phone to make phone calls or send texts from it unless you put an app that uses a Wi-Fi signal to do those two functions. All apps for all phone operating systems that work in a Wi-Fi environment will still work just fine.

first you must download the torrent, locate the place where the files are downloaded to and then drag and drop the audio files into your itunes library.

In uTorrent, go to options>preferences>directories and change where the files download to the "Automatically add to iTunes" folder. (Usually C:\Users\(username)\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes)

Depending on how many songs and photos you want to hold on the ipod aswell as video it can more or less, but if you had no songs and no photos it would be capable of holding between 10 and 20 HOURS of video. So depending on how long the movies go for,if they went for 2 hours each you could have beween 5 and 10 movies... Hope this is the answer you were looking for........
