If you took an online test the results are very unlikely to be correct. The only way to truly have a proper measure if your IQ is to see a professional tester.

Allow me to provide facts, 138 is also my IQ, we are the 98th percentile or a category referred to "Superior Intelligence" One deviation (15 points) above Higher intelligence and 2 point away from "genius. Your IQ makes you a potential candidate for Mensa, however according to some IQ Scales, we would be in the 99.4 or 99.9th percentile which makes you eligible for other high IQ societies such as Cerebrals, One in a thousand society, TOPS, Triple Nine Society etc etc there is a very long list of high IQ societies

Remember there are two types of IQ tests one rates you higher than the other, and if you are planning on applying for a high IQ society The Titan test is good for testing Genus IQs as well as anyone above average etc. (NOTE: YOUR IQ CAN FLUCTUATE 5 POINTS EITHER WAY)

So remember your Mensa material by 8 points above the minimal and overall an intelligent person also suitable for other societies and a quote from the BBC before I go.

It depends on which IQ test you took. If you took the most common test, the Cattel B III test, a score of IQ 148 or higher is required.

The only requirement is that the test you take is on their list of acceptable tests, and that you rank in the top two percent of people who have taken that test. You can also take the test by contacting Mensa.

It has everything to do with age. Normally, a person's IQ should be at 100, at average. But, say, if a 6 year old got 100, they would be considered smarter than an Adult who got 100. This is because an adult should know more than a 6 year old. So, for a 12 year old, 100-110 would be average, and anything above that is above average.

Wow... this Google accounts thing has quite annoyed my name. Anyway, I'm not sure about this answer. I think you may be reffering (however you spell it) to the Stanford-Binet scale, which I THINK is obsolete. I think. So says Wikipedia, so don't shoot the messenger. In any case, no offense, but I find 159 on a modern IQ scale (whatever it is) a tad hard to believe. I believe Einstein had 160 IQ, which does tend to... seem a bit odd for an 11 year old, even an advanced one. I checked up on one of these free online tests and I scored 126, I believe, which suits me fine. I've always known I'm reasonably intelligent, so that sort of reflects what I thought. Anyway, I doubt anyone's ever actually going to read this, but, I might as well.

Those answers really shock me. I took a test and i got 68, but i took it again and i got 75. (im 12)

IQ scores are normalized by age, thus theoretically if you got an IQ score of 100 (normal/average) at any age you should always get an IQ score of 100 throughout your lifewhenever tested, no matter how much you learn or what degrees you get. In actual practice deviations in score of about ±5 points are not considered statistically significant. However remember that the only thing an IQ score has ever been shown to consistently predict both reliably and accurately is the ability to score high on IQ tests.

An IQ test is supposed to give an unbiased analysis or rating of intelligence with "fudge factors" for age and culture.

Parts of what this test measures are innate - essentially how your brain is wired - this part is essentially fixed and cannot be improved, Neither drugs or surgery will help as we don't know that much about the workings of the brain.

However doing the typrs of questions in an IQ test (math quizzes and word quizzes and spatial relationship problems) is in fact a learned skill. After several hundred examples a person tends to catch on and do them better and faster - he's not smarter, just more experienced.

Given this, it is possible to get higher scores on an IQ test by practicing IQ test type problems.

However you probably were that smart all along. Now you are that smart and experienced and the score you achieve will reflect this according to the rules of the game.
