What is the value of an Ithaca 10 gauge double damascus barrel shotgun with serial number 14538?
The serial number makes this a Crass model, named after the designer, Fredrick Crass. It was manufactured between 1888 and 1901 and was offered in quality level 1 through quality 7. Guns above quality level 4 are rarely encountered and should be professionally appraised. The quality mark is usually on the left side corner of the water table on the frame. The present value will depend considerably on the condition with the ranges going from $100 to 800 for a quality level 1 to $100 to 2000 for a quality level 4 this for a condition ranging from poor to excellent.
Who made Eastern Arms shotguns model 10118?
Eastern Arms Co. was the trade name placed on inexpensive shotguns and revolvers made for Sears. The Sears part numbers 101.XXX were made Savage/Stevens although the 101.18 isn't listed on the site I visited. You may be able to match your model using a gun values book for the photos or going to the Numrich web site (gunpartscorp.com) and looking at the Savage/Stevens pictures.

Continental arms company shotgun single break action how do you find the age?
A single shot Continental Arms Co should be a product of Harrington and Richardson, but since the company was in business for over a hundred years (1872 - 1985) and it is probably not serialized and even if it has a serial number there are no records available to check, you will probably never determine its age with any accuracy. My best guess would be sometime after the start of WW1 which ended the supply of inexpensive shotguns from Europe and the early 1950s when the use of 'store brands' became less fashionable.
Are the Ithaca SKB over and under shotguns sold around 1976 quality shotguns?
Yes, they are a good shotgun. Many had fine engraving on the receivers. They had three grades of finish. Most were recoil operated, with one trigger. They had a switch that would control which barrel would fire first.

Originally they were machined steel with dovetail cuts. They were originally designed that way to accomidate a Leupold long eye relief scope, and Redfield rings. Redfield had these rings made specially for Ithaca Gun Co., Inc. which Ithaca sold as parts items, or sold new on the gun. Today this type of mount is kind of out of date with all the scopes available today for shotguns. Thanx!

www.diamondgunsmithing.com If your question is what scope mount fits the M87 and M37 Deerslayer IIs & IIIs (1987-present), the answer is all scope monts designed to fit the Remington 760s (not 7600). These models with their barrels fixed to the recveivers are all drilled and tapped on the top of the action with this hole configuration. A gunsmith can open up the holes and retap them to fit the larger Rem 7600 mount screws for more mounting options, but since there are four screws, this is not needed for strength. The hole placement is the same on the Rem 760 and Rem 7600, but the screws are a different size. Exactly why Ithaca would not have gone with the more modern, larger screw size is a question that will never be answered, as the "company" has declared bankruptcy twice, moved locatiuons twice and changed owners 3 times since then. A-Square makes a great weaver style aircraft alum. mount for Rem 760 with multiple mounting slots for the most options in scope placement on an Ithaca. Lee Duer
What is the value of a 16 gauge Ithaca Featherweight shotgun?
Depending on condition and age, between $250.00 and $400.00. The older guns tend to be worth more, and condition will play a part. The 16 gauge was begun in 1938, and was discontinued in the 70's. There is a large "cult" like following for older Featherweights, especially in 16 and 20 gauges. Many consider them the finest pump shotguns ever built. Steve - Gun afficianado
When would a 38 SW Special CTG have been made serial number 379090?
You must identify the manufacturer of the gun to be able to determine the date of manufacture. If the lettering on the barrel says "38 SW CTG", then look on the underside of the barrel. If you find the word "EIBAR", then the gun was made in Spain sometime between about 1910 and 1935 by any of the small gun makers in the Eibar region of Spain. Value is maybe $150 in good condition on a good day.

I own one of the Ithaca Super 66s that I bought back in the early 70s for 34 dollars new.Years ago I shot on probably the best trap team in Nebraska,it gave me a fair amount of 25s.Some of the other members on my team were the State champ and the state runner-up but would you believe they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it.To each his own. It's value to me,priceless as it's different and it did the job.I'd buy a half a dozen more if I could find them.
I've seen a few for sale back east for around 175-200 bucks but never within reach where I can personally inspect them.I have fired around 14-15 thousand rounds thru mine and it's still drum tight.
Have also had 9-10 doubles with it when out hunting.I keep one shell in the palm of my hand and can reload in a second.Fun and challenging gun.
