Who and when was the Charles Daly 10 gauge side by side shotgun serial number 2581 manufactured?
The Charles Daly company has been an importer of German, Belgian, Italian, and Japanese shotguns and combination guns since at least the early 1930's. The country of manufacture should be marked on the barrels or on the receiver.
The Belgian and German guns were not imported after about 1933.
The Japanese guns were manufactured between 1968 and 1976.
The Italian guns started manufacture in 1976.
The serial number, by itself, may be useful to an advanced collector in better identifying the gun, but is otherwise of no help. Model designations are more useful.
What is the value of a Stephens Model 940E 410 gauge single shot Shotgun?
Depending on the condition it could be worth $50-$125.00. I own 3 that are mint and one that is new in the box. The one new in the box is at best worth $190.00. Hope that helps.
Your gun known as the "Flues Model" after its designer was made in 1918. These firearms were made in many different grades, which can have a huge affect on value. The condition of the firearm will, obviously, also have major impact on value. Assuming your gun is in good working condition and a FIELD grade gun, by far the most common, a 100% gun (as it came from the factory) could probably fetch close to $1500. A very poor example, still working though, about $300.
There are several quality levels for the gun and the values within those levels vary considerably with the condition. For example, a Quality X in Excellent condition has a book value of $1200 while the same gun in poor condition lists for $100. You had best take the gun to a reliable gunsmith or advanced collector for an appraisal.
200-500 USD depending on condition. Most I see are aroud 300-350.
How much is a Ithaca model 37 feather weight 12 gauge pump worth?
you have to look up your serial number find the year of Birth on WWW.SURPLUSRIFLEFORUM.COM in their search engine type in ITHACA 37 DOM there you'll find a serial Number chart Date your shotgun then look in Blue book for pricing an Ithaca Model 37, I would say anywhere from $100 to $500 depend on year, condition, factory original parts and all , also the gauge if it a 12ga or 16ga , 0r 20 ga I've notice a gun shows 16ga were worth more but also harder to find than a more common 12ga and 20ga
A Model 37 for $100 would be a gold mine or was run over by a truck and found in a cow stall. These shotguns are favored by utility shooters and I myself find it difficult to find a website that wants to nail down a real value range for these guns. Sure there are variations and date ranges but compared to almost every other gun I've researched the Model 37 Featherweight Pre-1986 is frustrating. Most require you join or pay a subscription fee to, maybe get the answer your truly looking for. In the end it's only worth what someone offers you, but for insurance purposes it would be nice to find values more eaily>
70-100 years, 50-150 USD
Made by Crescent Fire Arms Co, 1893-1932. Worth $150-$250 depending on condition.

What is the age of a 22 caliber Ithaca Model 49 rifle serial 249914?
Not sure of exact age, but these guns were made 1962 to 1978 (if I recall correctly). Serial numbers, not legally required until 1968, were absent on the earliest guns. Later models also had checkered gray elm wood instead of plain walnut. Best guess without immediate access to my records is early to mid 1970s.
What is the age of a 16 gauge Central Arms 812 single barrel shotgun?
Central Arms was a trade name used by Shapleigh Hardware on guns made by several manufacturers, but the 812 would be a single shot by J Stevens Arms Co, 1920-1948.
Made in 1899. Probably worth around $350. (Watch auctions on gunbroker.com for similar items to see what going prices are. I find that prices for Ithaca guns are generally higher in internet sales than those listed in gun value books.)
