I paid 675. from a 50 yr dealer! thought I got a deal love the gun 9 out of 10 condition shoot well fits me great. I would buy it again @ that price, but I am no expert

The only way to tell would be to have them measured. Any gunsmith should have the gauges and probably wouldn't even charge you for the 3 minutes it would take him.

This question cannot be answered unless one knows the condition of the firearm, guage, and grade. These firearms were also produced in an era when Damascus or laminated steel barrels were still being produced and this can have a huge effect on value. Syracuse Arms was in business from (I believe) fron the early 1880's until about 1908 when it was absorbed by one of the major shotgun manufactures. They made guns in numerous grades from low cost knockabouts to grades that were elaborately finnished and quite expensive.

Isaac Hollis & Sons were English gunmakers from c.1870-1900. They made some very fine guns, and you should have yours evaluated in person by someone familiar with English doubles.

Ithaca really only made one model of double-barrel at any given time. Certain design changes have been called as different models (Flues, Crass, etc) and that can be determined by serial number. Also, the grade designation on the water table is important. sales@countrygunsmith.net

According to SKB's web site, the model 500 was marketed by Ithaca from 1969 to 1978. The one in my collection, a 12-gauge, has s/n S 5550909. -DAW-

why would`nt it ? I`ve owned several .22 caliber rifle made before 1968 and all of them had serial numbers !

Valenciennes is the region in France where it was made. "Morin" may well be the maker, although I do not have a reference on that maker specifically. There were many French guilds producing arms in the mid-1800's (1860's time frame when pinfire was popular). Value is going to depend on the overall quality, amount of decoration and condition - could be anywhere from a couple of hundred to well over a thousand.

well I'm sure you know value in guns very on production and condition also year produced. the model 5 was in prodution from 1936-65 before discontinued, age good luck on finding out unless marked on the stock under the butt pad by the purchaser their are no markings "serial numbers" on these firearms unfortunately.

My deerslayer doesn't have any Ser# marked on the receiver. I was told that early productions from the 1960's didn't have them on the receiver but somewhere else...Can anyone tell me anything? Thanks, Chris workinmynerves@yahoo.com

Probably from about $125 - $175. You can look on .the gunbroker.com auction site and see what they are selling for. Of course, as always, the ultimate value is whatever someone will pay who is looking for that particular gun.

It was made in 1924, according to "Ithaca Gun Company - From the Beginning". Value would be determined by GA, model, and condition.

This should be a Lewis model, made in 1902.

That gun was made in 1915, and is probably a Flues model. Depending on its condition it is probably worth about $350-400. You can look for similar listings at Gunbroker.com and see what the bids are.
