What is the age and value of model 550 double barrel shotgun?
The Savage Model 550 was manufactured between 1971-1973, not many were produced. The barrels are made by Valmet (Finland). In very good to excellent condition the price ranges from $400-$500. They have a single trigger, auto ejectors, checkering and light engraving. A very nice shotgun for the price.

Can you tell what gauge a US Arms double barrel shotgun is from the serial number?
No. Anyone who knows even a little bit about shotguns should be able to tell you the gauge by looking at it. But an older gun may have short chambers and if you intend to shoot it you should have have a gunsmith measure them.
go to doublegunshop.com and ask on their open forum. pbl
If it also says Norwich Conn, it was manufactured by Crescent Fire Arms, c. 1890-1930 (with open hammers, probably before 1910). If not, then by Simonis, Janssen & Dumoulin in Belgium c. 1884-1905. A Belgian gun will also carry the proofmark of ELG* in an oval and if there is a crown over this mark, it was made after 1893.

The Perfection was manufactured by Crescent Fire Arms Co for H&G Lipscomb & Co, c. 1893 to 1930. Value will be determined by how well it looks over the fireplace, normally $150-$250.
This gun was probably made c. 1880-1900, possibly as late as 1914.
Knows as the 'Crass Model' after designer Frederick Crass. The Crass Model was only made from 1888 to 1901. Yours would be c.1895. Need to know which grade. Remove the barrel set and look on the water table. These guns were marked with the gauge and the grade from 1 to 7 (and 1P). Depending on grade and condition, $200 to $1000. sales@countrygunsmith.net
How much is an Ithaca Model 66 20 gauge single shot serial number 214532 worth?
With the recent demise (again) of Ithaca, there has been a slight upward trend in the older models including the 66. If in very good condition, $100-$150. sales@countrygunsmith.net
What are the markings on the gun? sales@countrygunsmith.net
You dont give us a whole lot of description, but lets assume you have a double-barrel shotgun with external hammers. That would be the Ithaca 'Baker Model' and was one of their first models put to market. There were several grades offered, although the A and B grades are by far more commonly seen (they were the less expensive grades and far more were sold). The gun was made from 1883 to 1887 when it was replaced by the 'New Ithaca Gun' hammer shotgun. Value, again assuming Grade A or B, depends on condition. As little as $100-$150 for a well-worn parts gun up to $1000 for a really nice high condition piece. sales@countrygunsmith.net
I believe that King Nitro was a model name of Shapleigh Arms Co, St. Louis, MO.
E.Masquelier is a Belgian firm that was selling guns at least through the 1960's. I am not sure if the name is still being used today. Like most Belgian shotguns, actual manufacture was a collaborative effort and then the guns were marketed under an established name. Masquelier guns need to be evaluated individually, since there is a great deal of variability in amount of engraving, ornamentation, and so forth. Smaller gauges bring considerably more than larger. Recent auction sales have seen small bore Masquelier shotguns with only moderate decoration sell for nearly $1000. Have the gun evaluated by a knowledgable and reputable gunsmith - not Bubba Joe at the local bait and tackle. You may just have a nice surprise in store. www.countrygunsmith.net
What would a Ranger 410 side by side shotgun in good condition be worth?
.410 side by side shotguns of all varieties are very rare, regardless of maker. The best way to find out the value of any firearm is to ask a gunshop owner what you should insure it for. Never ask 'how much is it worth' or 'what will you give for it,' because a gunshop owner, like any other merchant, makes his living by buying low and selling high. If you say "This is an heirloom and I don't want to sell it, but I need to know how much I should insure it for in case it's stolen or we have a fire," you'll get a fair idea of the actual cash value of the weapon. Probably a Stevens 311Sears doubles marked 'Ranger' are usually variants of the Stevens 311. Comparable Stevens 311 .410 shotguns have been retailing in the $500 range in decent shape.sales@countrygunsmith.net
The Ranger was made by Hunter Arms, of the L.C.Smith fame. It is the Sears brand of this gun. It is an extremly well made boxlock, very valuable, as 410's are always the rarest of the quality guns. A 20 guage in good condition on gunsamerica is selling for 1500, so the 410 is worth quite a bit more in similar condition.
What is the value of a Ruger Mini-14 223 stainless with a folding stock?
if you are talking about the Mini 14 with an AC 556 style side folder, the one like the A-Team sported, they cost about $800-$1100. A real AC 556 machine gun cost about $7000-$8000. Actually, the A-Team guns were stainless mini-14 gb models. equipped with Ruger factory folding stocks. They differed from the mini 14 in that they had a flash suppressor and a bayonet lug, intended for gov't contracts. The gb stood for government / bayonet; they accepted the us m7 bayo, intended for the m16. The above mentioned Ac556 was the select fire version of the mini-14, and because the ac556 receiver and mini-14 had different external dimensions, they used similar but DIFFERENT stocks. ( not mini-14's with ac556 stocks as stated above. The movie guns were NOT Ac556's. The show's sound effects were done to simulate the 556's rate of fire, but look closely and you'll see no full auto selector and the brass being ejected is at a slower semi-auto rate. Hope this helps!!! the current market values, not book values or msrp, is as follows: mini 14 650.00 mini 14 gb 800.00 mini 14 folder 1000.00 ac556 5500.00 these prices are for stainless in excellent condition
