Made from 1970-1991. They are a very reliable little pistol that sold in $50 - $75 range when new. Used, in excellent condition with original box and paperwork approximately $140. Good condition sold as a shooter approximately $75.00. Typical well used condition, but still shootable approximately $50.

One would have to know something about the gun to answer that question. One would also be have to be willing to spend considerable time in federal prison upon accomplishing such.

My guide states model 55 and 55-S takes a 22LR. States Model 55 came with a 4.5 or 6 inch barrel. The 55-S came with a 2 and 1/2 inch barrel. Both are 8 round da revolvers. No 55 SA listed. I have found out that P. Streignard was a Firearms maker in Liege Belgium during the years 1820 through 1840. He specialized in finely engraved and incise carved Percussion pistols.

Gunbroker on the net just sold one new condition for 785 plus shipping charges. Sure have gone up from what I payed for mine.

you should note that Iver Johnson immigrated to Worchester, Massachusetts from NORWAY in 1863. He and his partner Martin Bye were awarded firearm patents in 1876. I don't see how you could have a 1862 model of a Iver Johnson pistol ???

The current production model - the FAMAS G2 - uses STANAG 4179 magazines (common to the M16, FN FNC, HK416, CETME Model L, L85/SA80, etc. The 'standard' for these is 30 rounds, although they can be had in five, ten, 20, 30, 35, 40, or 50 rounds, as well as the 90 round drum and the infamous (but ineffective) 100 round Beta-C magazine.

The western style .22 caliber 8 shot Iver Johnson revolver began production in 1968. This gun is most likely from the late 1970s. They are valued at about 150 dollars in average condition.

Well as always its all what somebody is willing to pay. Put it this way I have been around guns along time and I have a friend in his late 60's that's been doing guns his whole life and today is the first time either of us have ever seen a Iver Johnson 32 Gauge. With it being that rare Id hate to put a value on it. If someone has a collection and wants to complete it with the 32 Gauge then I wouldn't be scared to ask $3,000-$5,000 for a gun in good condition. I mean Ive seen plenty of model 37 28 gauge Winchesters bring $3,000 and they arent no where as rare as the 32 Gauge Iver Jonsons...Hell if a mans got plenty of cash and really wants it I don't see why it shouldn't fetch much more if he needs it to complete a collection, ya know.

This gun cannot be sold without a license. It is too new so you would not be able to just sell it to someone or to a pawn broker.

Not to my knowledge. I do have a .32 rimfire pistol with a little over 100 rounds of ammo for it. It does shoot but I don't shoot it anymore for the simple reason that you can't get any more ammo for it.

Seem to run from $50.00 to $250..according to the pros, and several IJ books...even the blue book shows a possibility a 6" excellent can go for 200-250, especially if you have an original holster

I just bought one and paid $210 and am very satisfied that the price was fair. However, I feel that much more than that would be tto much as there seems to be an abundance of these on the market. I only bought this one because it reminded me of how hard I worked pithching hay in the Summer of 1950......my only pay being one of these and how proud I was of that gun......also how many Squirrels and Rabbits it brought to the table.

Don't really know but my father bought me a used one with s/n 96933 as my first gun when I was about 13 now 56 and looking for a forearm I would love to buy one for sentimental reasons
