Overheating can be caused by anything that decreases the cooling system's ability to absorb, transport, and dissipate heat, such as a low coolant level, loss of coolant (through internal or external leaks), poor heat conductivity inside the engine because of accumulated mineral deposits in the water jackets or radiator, a defective thermostat that doesn't open, poor airflow through the radiator, a slipping fan clutch, an inoperative electric cooling fan, a collapsed lower radiator hose, an eroded or loose water pump impeller or even a defective radiator cap.

The cooling system is a group of related parts that depend on proper function from each of its component parts to keep the engine cool. Service the cooling system and replace any under-performing or suspected weak parts. Any component part of the cooling system that is not fully doing its job will stress the others and your cooling system will overheat. The most important maintenance item is to flush and refill the coolant periodically. Coolant should be replaced every 36,000 miles or every three years. Anti-freeze has a number of additives that are designed to prevent corrosion in the cooling system, but they have a limited life span. The corrosion causes scale that eventually builds up and begins to clog the thin flat tubes in the radiator and heater core, causing the engine to eventually overheat.

You must remove the oil pan to access the oil pump. It is simple to replace once you get to it.

mechanism is broken or if it is an electric window try holding switch down in down motion for 30 seconds then tap window up on switch until it gets to the top then hold switch in upwards motion for 30 seconds if this does not work then disconnect the motor then reconnect

For the 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, you'll need a 1/2" socket wrench. The longer the wrench the better, i.e. a long breaker bar. The spring retention arm has a square hole for the 1/2" socket to be placed. Once placed, you can adjust tension for serpentine belt removal or application. Follow the belt route guide on the "little sticker" near the belt under the hood. If you don't have a 1/2" socket wrench, I'm pretty sure you can rent the necessary tool at Autozone for free (deposit returned when tool returned). This method works for many different vehicles, makes, and models.

Normally 6 quarts with filter change. But to be sure, Park on level surface, drain the oil and change the filter. Put in 5 quarts, start the engine, run for 2 minutes, shut down, wait 30 minutes, and check the oil level. Add as necessary. Do not overfill!

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire
P0306-0305 are for misfire in those numbered cylinders specifically.

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

the wiring and ignition differences will make this unlikely. 89-95 are the most compatible for a 93. i think 96-98 for a 97. just look for engines online and see what years fit together to know for sure what you can get away with.

My 76' weighs about 4200lbs with a full tank of gas, hard top, 3 people, a spare tire, a heavy winch, and a lot of camping equipment going over a trucker scale.

Lowest weight I've ever seen in mine was 3200lbs with no top, no persons in the vehicle, and pretty much empty tank.

Mind you, I have the Inline 6. If you have AMC/Chevy swapped V8, it's going to be nearly the same. The I-4 is probably about 100lbs lighter, but that's a guess. The hard top doesn't weigh much either, or at least mine doesn't. Maybe 100lbs max. If you have an automatic, add about 100 pounds.

If you own the CJ-7, best bet is to find a trucker scale that's closed and just do a quick weight measurment. A lot of factors change the weight, (Engine, transmission, transfercase, tire sizes, aftermarket addons, AC, etc.) and it's hard to guess
