2001 Jeep grand cheeroke flasher and turn signals stopped working?
If both turn signals stop working at the same time in both the front and rear of the car, there are two main causes. First, the fuse might have blown, or second, the mechanical or electrical connections may have gone bad.Ê
What steps do I have to take to tow a jeep 1981 CJ7 with a standard transmission.?
Buy a tow bar. Install the tow bar cleats to the front bumper of the Jeep. Attach the tow bar with the removable pins and then connect the ball connector to the ball hitch of the towing vehicle. Run safety chains from the tow bar to the hitch loops of the towing vehicle. Make sure you lock the ball connection with either a nut & bolt OR a padlock. Put the Jeep in 3rd gear, make sure the hubs are NOT locked. Put the key in the ignition and unlock the steering wheel. Drive slowly, try to stay on streets and don't do too much highway driving. If towing at night, it's a good idea to use trailer lights - in some states you need trailer lights any time you tow - day or night. Good luck.

It was invented in the war, so they could get around easily without using too many parts. JEEP Stands for Just Enough Essential Parts.
The Jeep was originally a U.S. Military vehicle first produced in 1941 by Willys. It was invented to provide a vehicle that was 4 wheel drive, small, lightweight, simple, easy to repair, that could be used by the military to move troops quickly. The name Jeep, according to the U.S. Army does not mean Just Enough Essential Parts as the above answer says. That is absurd and 100% wrong. The word Jeep just means a small transport vehicle. It is even used by the Navy to describe small escort carriers, and the Army Air Corp Link Trainer.
JEEP is an adaption of the letters GP, standing for General Purpose, vehicle.

How do you solve a dtc p1491 problem for a 2001cherokee jeep?
On a Grand Cherokee replace the elelctric fan motor controller. It is located under the right headlight panel. You will likely have to cut a hole for access. It is importnat that you use a head conducting grease under the device to transfer heat away from the device to the inner fender. Be sure to mount this tightly. Also, if you have had repeated failures be shure to cahnge the radiator fan motor. It can pull too many amps and ruin the relay.

Well it means your battery is going to be discharged in short order. Most of the time the light stays on because you have it turned on. Make sure that is not the case. If it is in the off position and still stays on, then the door switch is probably defective. Common problem with the Jeep.

What is the pa state law about driving without doors?
According to a police officer near carlisle pa this weekend they passed a law in 2005 that all original parts that a jeep was made with need to be on the vehicle at all times. Except for when off roading or at a car show.. this would include the doors and the roof.. but i am doing more reseerch myself today about it...
The Pennsylvania vehicle code states the following:
http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/chapter175/s175.77.html
"175.77 (f) (f) Doors. A vehicle specified under this subchapter shall be equipped with doors of a type used as original equipment. The doors shall open and close securely unless the vehicle has been manufactured or modified to the extent that there is no roof or side. Tailgates, except on vehicles where the tailgate gives access to the passenger compartment, may be replaced with wood planking, nets or other material that will prevent loss of load. Tailgates may be removed when optional equipment, for example a truck camper, is added."
This allows all convertable vehicles to remove their tops, and jeeps to remove their doors as long as all other aspects (mirrors, etc) are met.
