Deere does not publish their manuals publicly, you will need to purchase one at your local dealer. They normally cost about 12 dollars for the owners manual and 50-100 dollars for a service manual. You may find a used one on eBay, do a search on Google; "John Deere L110 owners manual"

# Raise the seat (as you would to add gas) # Remove the 2 springs that the seat rests on (use a socket with extension).

# Remove the gas line, use needle nose pliers to squeeze open the clamp, then pull the hose (this is under the body panel, access from the rear, on top of the tank)

# Have a helper lift up on the rear of the body panel, reach under the panel and lift the gas tank out.

# Install in reverse order. The body panel is quite flexible...I called a John Deere service shop and this is how they do it. 10 minute job.

Take it to the dealer where you bought your lawn mower from. All you can do from the bottom is spin the engine with a hex bolt. Professional tools are required for this procedure.

Remove Blade , pull cover off top of transmission remove clip on top of pulley pulley slides up and off shaft remove belt from pulley and guide it thru hole to blade . make sure when installing to put clip on correctly if not pulley can come loose and ruin trans input shaft

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be changing the oil yourself.

Step 1: Read the Operator's manual or go out and buy one and then read it.

Step 2: The specifications in the manual should tell you an exact amount of oil for your mower because every lawn mower is different. The manual should also explain how to change the oil right the first time.

The simplest way to sharpen any mower's blades is to take the blades off, place the blade in a vice, and use a electric hand grinder to sharpen them. Run the grinder's blade along the mower blade at an 45 degree angle to take any imperfections out of the cutting part of the blade. Good luck! If you can't get it right, take it to a local machine shop and they may be able to help you out.

take off the rear tire, unbolt the fuel tank and slide out. there are some screws in the top of the pump i believe 3 of them. unplug the electric connector and lift it out of the tank. be careful the tire does not get away from you.

On the lower portion of the left side of the engine you'll find a long pipe with a threaded pipe plug cap on the end. That's the oil drain pipe. Remove the plug cap with an adjustable wrench (use a pair of channel locks on the pipe itself if it starts to un-thread from the motor). Drain out the old oil and replace the pipe plug. The oil filter is right next to it (looks kinda like a an inverted pregnant orange juice can). The oil filter base has one or two threaded plugs in it. Remove the lower one and let the oil filter drain out then reinsert the plug. Unscrew the oil filter using a strap wrench and replace it with a new one. Make certain that the inner surface of the filter base is clean and that the rubber seal from the old filter didn't stick to it (if it did, peel it off and toss it out with the old filter). Lubricate the rubber seal on the new filter with some fresh oil and screw it down in place (typically tighten it 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn after the rubber seal touches the housing. Fill with fresh oil at the dipstick tube opening (usually 1.75 quarts with a filter change). Re-insert the dipstick, check to confirm the oil level and you're done! 30 minutes including clean-up. No sweat!

Side to side leveling, measure blade tip at its outermost point to the ground on both right and left side (level surface). Turn right lift link in or out to adjust...1 full turn equals 1/8 inch. Difference side to side should not be more than 1/8 inch. Front to rear leveling, Turn right blade to front/rear position, measure front to ground then turn blade 180 degrees and measure rear to ground. Rear should be 1/8 inch more than front. Adjustment is by turning the yokes on the front of the deck (below draft arm connection) after removing draft arms. Again one full turn equals 1/8 inch. To adjust cutting height, With the mower lifted as high as possible, there is a T shaped screw at the left rear of the tractor which controls the height. Turn this stop counterclockwise as far as possible then lower the deck to the desired cutting height, stop engine and turn the screw clockwise until it stops. Now the cutting height is set.

It depends on the model, i own a 4 wheel drive 3140 and it weighs roughly 4.5 to 5 tonnes but a 2wd would weigh considerably less. If you ran a search for john deere 3140 specifications then you may find out the exact weight.

John Deere invented the self-polishing (scouring) steel plow. This invention made it much easier for farmers to plow the loamy, sod of the Midwest. John Deere was also a blacksmith by trade and had a very inventive mind.

Real pain. You must remove the fuel tank, radiator, and hydraulic oil cooler. There will be a plate that these items sit on that must be removed. Then disconnect the drive line coupler in front of the motor. You will need an 1 1/4" open end wrench to disconnect the oil lines on each side of the pump. There will be a small return oil line at the bottom of the pump to remove. There will be four 1/2" bolts about 4" long to remove from the front of the engine block that connects the pump frame to it. This unit is heavy! Suggest you wear leather gloves and use a lift or get help from a friend. Been there, done that!!

Check the rear of the tractor above the PTO. I may be wrong so if it isn't there check on the engine for a plate w/ a number of a cast engine number which your John Deere dealer should be able to identify and tell you at least what year it is.

I hate to tell you this but John Deere did not invent the first steel plow but he invented the first sucessful polished steel plow to help farmers in the Midwest plow the sticky, gumbo-like soil.

He invented the first self polishing steel plow. He saw how farmers in the Midwest were having a hard time plowing the ground because evrey 10-15 feet they would have to stop and scrape off the plow bottom which had become plugged with sticky, gumbo-like soil. He experiemtned with a polished steel saw blade and found the answer to all the farmers' problems.

Sounds like you have a dead battery. Put it on a charger, see if it will take a charge. If it does, charge it and try to bring it back to reserve capacity, if not it's time to take a trip and get a replacement battery.

Standard 30w for use in conditions ranging intemp from about 32F to 100F. 5W-30 for colder temps.

A model number would tell what deck you have.
