What years did John Deere produce the JX75?

Not quite sure if it is still made, but the JX75 replaced the 14SB and was green instead of silver. Mostly the same with the same FC120V engine at its inception. That changed to the FJ180V in 2006, I think. Worked on many of them, but I can only say they were made in the 2000's, I think.

Do you have to remove the mower deck on a John Deere D before you can put a snow plow blade on?

Yes, you typically need to remove the mower deck from a John Deere D series lawn tractor before installing a snow plow blade. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your model.

How remove and replace john deere gt275 mower deck?

Well it matters little whether it is the 48" or 54" deck. Set the height stop knob in front of the seat(black knob) to the blank spot pointing upward. Lock the deck in the down position. Swing the arm on the left of the deck around to the rear wheel at remove the primary belt. Unlatch the front stay by pulling out on the latch part on the left side. Pull the rear two U-shaped rear latches out and rotate them so that they remain unlatched. Raise the lift arms by using the lift lever(you need to unlatch it) taking care as there is no longer anything attached and it can rise forcefully. Turn the steering wheel as if making a hard rigbt turn and slide the deck out to the left.

John Deere and Cyrus McCormick were never together. They were rivals of each other ever since McCormick invented the mechanical reaper(combine) and Deere & Company were trying to invent their own(John Deere was himself dead at this time). They were even more rival companies when McCormick merged with other companies to for International Harvester, a huge blow for Deere as they still are strong competitors today.

How do you put transaxle belt on a john deere 116 hydro?

I just did this yesterday. First, disconnect the brake linkage that runs to the rear of the tractor. Looking up from the bottom of the machine, on the right side (as when seated on the machine) there will be an adjustable clevis with a pin. Remove the cotter pin and then the "bolt". You can leave it hang where it is. Next, from the top side of the machine, under the battery and in front of the steering shaft, you will see a spring over the steering gear shaft. It is held in place with a cotter pin. You'll need to remove that pin, the spring and two very thin washers (one on each end of the spring) and then go back down under the machine and remove the two bolts that hold the bracket and that steering gear in place. There may be a bit of wrestling to get the splined shaft out of the bushings but is does drop out. If needed, a brass drift or wooden dowel and hammer can be used. Once it is loose, swing it down and out of the way, to the left side of the machine. It will still be attached to the steering tie rod and it too, can just hang there out of the way.

Unplug the wires to the electric PTO.

Pay special attention to the routing of the belt BEFORE you remove it, as it will need to be slipped down and over the safety switch lever for the brake and the clevis.

I found it easier to loosen the bolt for the idler pulleys at the rear of the machine and then remove the belt from the Eaton pump/fan area first.

Replace in reverse order. Hope this helps.

How do you change timing belt on John Deere LTR 180 mower?

Remove the mower deck by the quick disconnect latched and the front bracket, and the lift linkage ARM and take the belt off the engine pulley and leave with the mower deck. Remove the mower deck plastic guard to access the timing belt. Loosen the bolts on the right side tensioner bracket and back off the tensioner adjustment bolt all the way. The timing belt can now be removed. The center forward guide pulley can be removed to make it easier to reinstall the new belt. O had to remove the brake and the top pulley from the left deck blade pulley to get the new timing belt on. Put the new belt on with the blades 90 deg from each other. I set my tensioner tight now that I have the lawn defined and no more pioneering. If you hit an object the timing may slip and the tensioner has to loosened to get the 90 deg back.
