We cannot tell if another person is a Christian by their outward acts. Sure, Christians tend not to glorify what is wrong. However, so many people use the term Christian in so many different ways. Many think that if you say you believe or throw out God's name every once in awhile, maybe pray before meals, that you must be a Christian. In the strictest sense, a person is not a Christian unless they have a personal relationship with God through Christ. While Christians are known by the fruit they bear, it is not our place to judge who is and who isn't.
As for pop singers in general, they often fall into two types. There are the true Christians who hide it. Some of the Gothic and Satanic themed music was likely written by genuine believers in Christ. It is just that they felt it would make them wealthier or more popular to project the other path from who they are. The other type of pop singer professing Christian faith tends to do that more for show.
