The most likey cause would be the throttle position sensor (tps) if the sensor is sending the wrong voltage reading; the computer will think that the engine requires more fuel. Easily checked by taking the sensor off of the throttle body and putting an ohm meter between the two outside metal prongs and rotate the center of the sensor where it bolts to the throttlebody. If the measurements do not move up and down smoothly or if there are no readings at all; then the sensor is bad.

THat's a good question. The manual says to remove the 3 bolts from the light cover behind the access panel but guess what, there are 4 screws and the cover still will not come off. My answer, take it to Kia dealership and let them figure it out.
