How do you change the alternator belt on a 2004 Kia Sedona?

In the 2002, there is an idler beneath the alternator. When it's loosened, the belt relaxes and can be removed. I don't know if it's different in an '04. I had the radiator, air conditioner condensor, and oil cooler out to replace the alternator. I don't know if you can reach the idler without removing these things. I also do not know how easy/difficult it is to rethread the belt since it doesn't just run the alternator.

How do you remove seats Kia Sedona?

There are either bars or straps behind the seats that you you pull and it detaches the seat from the floor. I Really can't tell you anymore because my husband is the one who does it but it seems to be very simple. Just be careful cause the rear seat is very heavy.

answer

Pull the strap to release the back of the seat and fold it up - at the front of the seat you will see a bar preventing you from tipping the seat up fully. (you don't have to tip tyhe seat up, it just shows you where the bar is).

There are actually 2 of these bars - squeeze them together to release the clip that holds the front of the seat to the floor. The seat should now be free.

How do you change the trun signal bulb on a 2006 Kia Sedona?

Remove the shroud over the radiator by removing the 13 plastic screws. Do NOT use a power screwdriver, these strip as easy as warm butter. These screws are similar to the holders that GM uses where the center post inserts and expands 4 legs out to hold the piece in place. In this case, screws inserts to expand the 4 legs out of the insert. If a screw won't back out, use a knife or thin screwdriver to go under the lip of the insert and apply gentle pressure while screwing out the screw. This will give the screw enough friction to come out. Be sure to use the right size screwdriver to prevent messing up the screw. When the screws are out, remove the plastic inserts that the screws fit into, and then lift the rear end of the shroud up and pull back towards the engine to slide the tabs on the front of the shroud out. Watch for any inserts that you missed that may go flying. Now you'll see 2 10mm bolts, one at the top near the fender and the other near the radiator. Remove these. Push the light housing out by reaching through the hole at the rear (you can see the headlight socket through the hole). There is a plastic guide that may break if you don't take the housing straight out. Disconnect the harness to the light socket by squeezing the two tabs and then pulling it back. Turn the socket 1/4 turn clockwise as viewed from the front of the vehicle. Push the bulb down slightly and turn it to remove. Pay attention to the posts on the socket, one side is higher than the other and you need to know the proper orientation for inserting the right bulb. Replace the bulb, push the socket back in place (ensure it is fully inserted before turning) and reverse the steps to reassemble. Be sure to reinsert the light housing straight in to avoid breaking the plastic guide I mentioned above. I found that if I used the brackets for the 10mm bolts as a reference, it went right in. Took me about 15 minutes. Good luck!

How do you replace stereo in a Kia Sedona?

You start out by unclippin the trim around the center console by pulling it up from the bottom of the trim. You will then have to disconnect the lighter ports. You then unscrew 4 screws and the radio can easily be taken out. Hope this was helpful.

  • Lift the Kia's hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal with a 10-mm wrench. Move to the inside of the vehicle

  • Grab each of the dash panels containing the air vents on either side of the stereo assembly and pry them from the dashboard. Remove the two screws at the top of the stereo with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Grab the center dash panel at the top of the trim and pull it away from the dashboard.

  • Remove the four screws surrounding the stereo bracket with the screwdriver and slide the unit from the dashboard stereo dock. Unplug the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the factory radio.

  • Slide the aftermarket faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo dock. Pull the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the back of the dock to the front of the faceplate adapter. Connect the Kia's stereo wiring to the wiring harness adapter leads. Plug the wiring harness adapter lead connectors into the outlets on the rear panel of the new stereo unit.

  • Slide the new stereo into the faceplate adapter until it snaps into place. Replace the dash panel over the stereo and screw in the two screws at the top of the panel with the screwdriver. Place the two dash panels containing the air vents into the slots on either side of the stereo and press firmly to snap them back into place. Return to the battery.

  • Replace the negative battery cable onto the negative battery terminal. Tighten the cable to the battery lead with the wrench. Close the Kia's hood.
