A midfielder is a player who plays both offense and defense with an attack shaft and may play on both sides of the lacrosse field as long as there are only 5 other players on the same team on the same half of the field (excluding the goalie).

Yeah it does cause your always running and jumping witch is called exercising...Then the next day you'll be sore...so just get enough sleep and rest and the next day you may be good as new depending how much soreness you have...But anyways it does make you loss weight

Any head can be put on any shaft. All you have to do is put the bottom of the head in warm not boiling water, just warm tap water for a few minutes and it should slide rite on to your maverick shaft if it doesn't already.

as you know there are 3 attackmen and defenders on each side of the field, both behind the restraining line. There is also a goalie on each side of the field. There will be 3 middies on each side of the 50 yard line with both teams having their own side. two middies, 1 from each team, will line up on each side of the field crouching down. They will have the outside of their pocket facing the ball with the pocket punched inside out. Not one part of the lacrosse stick can touch the ball as also their sticks must be parrallel. The ref will tell you to go down and when the whistle blows they will both go after the ball. As the other middies can help everyone else must stay behind the restraining line until the ref calls possession.

But the above is just for men's lacrosse. In women's lax, there are 5 middies per team: four around the circle and one in the middle per team. Then there are three low defense and low attackmen behind the restraining line per team. The backs of the heads of the sticks of the two girls in the middle (one for each team) are pressed together with the ball in between. On the whistle, the heads are pulled or pushed up and away, sending the ball through the air. This is called the draw. The ball can go anywhere depending on the skill of the centers; usually it is drawn to a teammate waiting on the circle, but you can draw the ball to yourself; you just have to be tall so you can grab it and gain possession.

Because the men's game is very violent, legally, so they wear padding. The women's rules do not allow you to hit, we do it anyway and do not wear padding. People seem to think women are incapable and more fragile then men, but we can do whatever we want.

The difficulty of lacrosse has many factors. Location, effort, level of play and position are the main ones. Location because in the northern states, lacrosse is very popular and the kids are very talented. In the southern states, generally teams are more basic, however there are many advanced and elite teams. Level of play is a factor because when kids hit their growth spurt, there skills flourish and they become much better. Positions are all equally as important, but some are easier than others.

The best way is to use rit dye, it's easy, cheap and if done correctly can be a lot of fun.

Use a pot big enough to submerge the head completely.

Remember to dye lighter to darker.

First, you get the pocket to the desired depth, then you spray it with hairspray. Use a hairdryer to dry it quickly than put the whole head in a freezer for 20-30 mins. this makes the mesh stiff. then leave it for about 1 hour to get used to the warmer temperature, then have fun with your new pocket! Enjoy.

No, girls are not allowed to wear helmets in America. In other countries it may be allowed but not in America. That is a contriverisial issued being debated for a few years. The people against helmets say that it will make girls more violen while playing lacrosse. But girls can throw just as hard as guys can so if they get hit in the head it will have major damage to the skull and could result in death.

Edit: Just FYI, girls can't throw as hard as guys... Granted, SOME girls can throw as hard as SOME guys, but on average, guys shoot a lot harder. I would love to see girls play a full out game of mens lacrosse lol. That would be pretty intense.

Lacrosse is a game of speed and your always gonna be on the run. There is a crosse the stick and a head with mesh in it that you can use to scoop the ball up. Make sure you don't rake it.( my coach is always saying it) When your trying to catch the ball don't catch it like a spoon. Hold your stick up and let it come in DO NOT swat at the ball in an attempt to catch it. And stretch cause you'll feel achy after a game. Never stop in the middle of a game. First of all your coach will go berserk and second like i said its on the run. If your a new player you''ll need a mouthguard, a helmet, armpads, gloves, a cup, a stick, shoulder pads, rib pads, and cleats. Soccer cleats will do. And if their is a bunch of people huddling whacking each other with the stick don't be afraid to run though a knock a few people down to get the ball but if your team looks like they have it get open so you can get a pass and make a fast break to the goal. the positions in lacrosse are midfeild-which is offense and defense, attack which is offense,defense which is defending your goalie and attacking the attack players and goalie which is blocking shots from going into the goal.

Besides goalies, most players prefer not to wear cups because of restriction while running and they can be uncomfortable. They are not required but it's a good idea to do so.

I strongely suggest that you where a cup. when you do get hit there you wont regret it.

Only guys wear cups, girls, well you know, they don't really need them

But chest protectors, gloves, helments and elbow pads are mandatory.

--Depends on if youre playing HS lax or club. Most HS requirements have a cup as a Mandatory piece of equipment.

there are many good lacrosse heads. attack- evo, evo 2.0, etc. with the evos. middie- proton power. defence- revo, super proton power.

I'm sure there is more but these i think are the best.
