Maraschino is the liqueur you are thinking of. It is a clear bittersweet drink flavoured with Marasca cherries and their crushed pits which adds a taste of almonds to it. First brewed by the apothecaries of the Dominican Monastery at Zadar, in the 16th century. This drink is commonly sold under the brand name of Luxardo.

As many as there are. Let me use something besides food to explain it. Use 18k gold. By international standard pure gold is 24 carat gold. So, in 18k gold there would be 18 parts gold and 6 parts some other metal-usually a mixture of silver and copper. By the same token, 10k gold would be 10 parts gold. The weight does not actually matter, as the ratio is the number of equal parts of one substance in relationship to the number of parts in the whole. In the example of 18k gold, there would be 3/4 ounce gold and 1/4 ounce silver/copper. So, to ask how many parts in an ounce is not a very clear query. It must of necessity define what the substance is and the ratio of the parts of differing substances contained in it.

LOL on this answer. You can get it from most liquor stores. It is close in popularity to Kaluha, with different tastes. Amaretto is sweeter with a hint of orange, but both go well together.
Amaretto is an almond flavoured liqueur. The flavour comes from... almonds and/or from fruit stones/pits such as those found in apricots, peaches etc.
It is also possible to make an Almond Liqueur at home, using vodka with various other ingredients and appropriate flavourings.
