Why did Liverpool castle get destroyed?
It was not so much destroyed as fell into decline.
After the English civil war part of it was torn down as it had been used by Royalists and they wished to make it unusable. Of course the bulk of it remained but with no money and loss of interest it started to deteriorate. it fell into the corporation of Liverpool's hands and for while the poor used it building shanty like housing in it.
After awhile it was deemed an eyesore. In those days they had little interest in maintaining and restoring buildings such of these so they tore it down and built a church. This church was replaced by a second and then eventually it was replaced by the Victoria memorial we have today.

Liverpool is a city in North West of England. Middlesex is a fairly large county on the North West edge of London. Actually Middlesex doesn't exist anymore as an administrative district, it has been absorbed into Greater London, although it is still recognised as a postal address. Anyway, the answer to your question is about 220 miles, depending whereabouts in Middlesex you start from. It takes about 3.5 hours to drive on a good day and about 2.5 hours by train.

The Kop is a stand within Liverpool Football Club's Ground Anfield
It has two tiers and one quarter of it seats the away fans.
It is also a stand within Leeds United's Elland Road. However, it is known to many unfamiliar with this name as the Don Revie Stand after the famous manager who lead Leeds to multiple successes, and formerly known as the Gelderd End after Gelderd Road which runs behind the kop. It is also where most of Elland Road's singing takes place and regularly includes characters who will shout obscenities at any poor mistake made.

No, Bootle is not in Liverpool. It is a former county borough which is in the county palatine of Lancashire. In 1974 Bootle lost it's borough status, and rather than be absorbed in to neighbouring Liverpool, it chose to almagamate with other towns in South-West Lancashire to become the newly formed Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council. Liverpool has tried twice to annexe Bootle, the last time being in 1908, when there was uproar in the town and the debate was thrown out by parliament. Being so close to Liverpool, Bootle does share some of the characteristics such as the Liverpool accent, however people in Bootle are not scousers. On entering Bootle everything changes though, the lamp-posts, the tarmac, the street signage and speaking to people in the town you can see that they are fiercly proud of their independence from Liverpool. I am from Childwall, Liverpool and proud of it.
