Cancer is spread among humans is if you are standing next to someone is smoking and you breath enough of that smoke the term for that is " SECOND HAND SMOKE" which can cause other people to get cancer if they breath in enough smoke. Adults, do not smoke near children or otherwise, they will have lung cancer too in the future (otherwise they are young and they still can get it).

Not necessarily true at all! It's not so much the lung cancer, but the effects on the body from chemo and radiation. And if caught early and treated aggressively, it may rarely kill you!

It is not. Lung cancer, as with any cancer, is caused by a cell losing control of itself and continuously dividing. You get large, worthless, and sometimes harmful groups of cells replacing the good ones. Of course, all cancers are harmful. The sometimes harmful here is referring to cells which actually damage other cells instead of just rapidly multiplying and ousting the good cells.

Discuss everything you are taking or wanting to take with your treatment team. And it never hurts to ask what everyone else is doing while you are sitting in the waiting room(s).

Cancer does make the world a smaller place. It is amazing how many strangers become your friends and how we all pull together. It touches us all in one way or another.

Visualization helps. Think of something attacking those cancer cells during your treatment. My dad wore a shark hat and pictured sharks chomping away. It did help that he was a life long fisherman. He did enjoy remission from a stage 4 lung cancer. So I do have faith for you! Chomp, Chomp, Chomp!!!
