Actually, it all depends on the era of Macbook. If you are talking the newest Macbook series than well yes the 15 inch and 17 inch pro can have an i7 or i5 processor with up to 8GB DDR3 RAM.

However even the Macbook 13 inch can have up to 8 GB RAM now, they only have up to a 3.2GHz processor, but so does the 13 inch Pro.

My recommendation is if you are getting a 13 inch then just buy a Macbook and buy a USB to SD card reader (as the SD card slot is the only major difference), if you want a 15 or 17 inch than spend the extra and get the i7 with 8GB RAM, you will happy I guarantee it.

All current Apple portable computers (MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro) ship standard with Bluetooth built-in. Bluetooth has been a standard feature on Apple portables since at least 2005.

The MacBook is made of polycarbonate and is coloured white whereas the Pro is made of aluminum. The Pro has a generally higher spec - includes FireWire port, SD card slot etc. and has a backlit keyboard which are not included with the MacBook. The white MacBook has a better Wi-Fi range than the aluminum model owing to the fact that aluminum blocks Wi-Fi signals to an extent..

The MacBook Air is designed to operate with a wireless network. A USB/Ethernet adapter can be purchased to add wired capabilities if needed.

While not literal face time, you can get something that is the exact thing. You will need a webcam (either one that you buy or if you computer has a built in one) then you will need software so that you can video chat, a popular one is Skype and I know it runs on windows, and IMO quite sure Macs too. (Not so sure about Linux.

aculy macs generaly have the same amount, but macs are more expensive.one tip about macs:if you are getting one with lots of RAM, then get 1 with the bare minimum amout and buy extra later.it is way cheaper

Hey I also was looking for Pivot when i first got my macbook but you actually can't get it.


There is though a very similar program called Stykz which is almost the exact same as Pivot only this is for mac.


I downloaded it for free so Im assuming it still is up for free.

Although the employee is only able to take advantage of this every 3 years and must be an employee for 3 months... Mac is a computer brand from Apple. As far as if it's better, everyone has a different opinion. I am NOT saying this from a bi-est view but I think Macs are better. Yes there are some ways in which PCs are better (for example Apple WAY overcharges for everything), I'm not arguing that fact. If you are willing to save the money, Mac is the way to go. If you just want a simple computer with simple software, PC is the way to go. Your choice.

I don't think you can as I believe "Crossover" is a DUAL video card software so you can link the two together for better usage. ALL laptop only have ONE video card, per se.

The newer laptops have a CPU based "video card" (your basically using part of the main CPU for video) that's used for every day stuff like browsing the web, checking e-mail, etc, as it saves battery life. When you need the power of the "dedicated" video card for use for high end gaming, graphics use, etc. then you can enable that one instead of the CPU one. They cannot be used at the same time.

Apple Store...it is better because where i live they give you an ipod touch free when you buy a laptop or imac (i dont know if they are doing the same thing in the whole usa)
