Is there a difference between an artifact and an artifact creature in magic the gathering?

An Artifact Creature is simply a creature who is also an artifact. It is subject to all normal rules regarding both creatures and artifacts, and if a spell can be used against a creature or an artifact, it can be used on that creature.

Where is the best place to sell magic the gathering cards in Rochester N.Y.?

I would visit www.wizards.com/magic and use the event locator on the left hand side. Just enter your zip code and make sure that you are only searching MTG. It will give you a list of events in your local area. I have noticed that some stores do not list Friday night magic under their events (if you are unfamilier, Friday night magic is a weekly promotion that wiziards has been doing for some time now, and many stores do mini tournaments each firday somtimes with a minimal fee to provide prize support). Friday night magic has several formats so make sure you contact the store first to see if they do FNM and then to check which format will be played the following week. In my experience FNM is a good way to get in some friendly gaming. As a bonus wizards offers rewards for playing in events such as these through the DCI. If you do not have a DCI number already the store will provide you with the quick sign up sheet, which you can then use to sign up for magic rewards on wizards website. You will receive special textless promo cards and/or premium foil cards depending on how many events you play. Hope this helps.

How much does the most expensive magic card ever cost?

There are a number of cards that command high values:

1996 World Champion: This unique card was sold for $10,000 to a private collector in 2001. It is presumably worth considerably more at this time.

Shichifukujin Dragon: As with 1996 World Champion there exists only one copy of this card. It has never been sold.

Alpha/Beta Black Lotus: These typically start around $3000 for copies in played condition, $5000 for copies in excellent to near mint condition and, in some cases, copies nearing mint condition have sold for around $10-15k.

Summer Magic chase cards: Copies of Blue Hurricane have sold for as much as $8000. Serendib Efreet as well as chases rares such as Underground Sea are similarly expensive.

Richard Garfield event cards: Proposal, Splendid Genesis and Fraternal Exaltation all command prices in excess of $4000.

Which MTG booster box should you buy?

well the eldrazi are amazing creatures so if you are into big creatures go for them but if you are looking for more general cards than go for M11 it all depends on what you want to play

personally i would go for M11 because many eldrazi cards are level up and aura and i am not to into them

but on the offside if you get an ererakul or ulamog or khozellik that is very cool

What is the best Pokemon creature?

Some of you may disagree with this statement but I personally think that its Arceus. And I will tell you why I think this.

  1. It can change into any type depending on what plate its holding
  2. If you go on the official Pokemon website poxedex all its bars are full e.g. Attack, defense, speed
  3. And most people say that it is the best Pokemon.

I don't know if you think differently, but if you do, click on improve and tell me what you think!

Do creature tokens count as creatures when using the instant Riot Control?

Yes they do, as they are dubbed "Creature" Token.

Essentially, Riot Control is very good against populate or very high token decks

"Oh so you have... 15 3/3 Centaurs? Riot Control. Thank you..."

What is wormcoil engine magic the gathering?

It is a Artifact Creature - Wurm, that costs 6 colorless mana.

The textbox on the card says:

Deathtouch, Lifelink

When Wurmcoil Engine is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put a 3/3 colorless Wurm artifact creature token with deathtouch and a 3/3 colorless Wurm artifact creature token with lifelink onto the battlefield.

And it has 6 power and toughness.

What would happen if someone has a card that targets a creature to go back to hand and use it on a token?

The token would disappear, it would not count as being destroyed or anything, just cease to exist.

Do counter stay on a creature or artifact if it regenerates in magic the gathering?

Yes. The card never leaves the field, it does not lose any enchantments, nor do equip cards unequip from it, nor are any counters lost.

Can any of the Circle of Protection colors work on colorless creatures?

There is a Circle of Protection: Artifacts. But there is no Circle that would protect you from non-artifact colourless creatures, such as the Eldrazi. You'd have to use an effect to give them a colour first.

How does the first strike ability work in magic?

Creatures that has first strike deals their combat damage before creatures without. So if a 2/2 creature with first strike blocks a 3/2 creature without first strike the 3/2 will die from the first strike damage and the 2/2 will not take any damage.

Can a circle of protection from black be used to prevent damage from a black source that has protection from white?

Yes, it can. 'Protection From' means the permanent can't take damage, be enchanted/equipped, blocked, or targeted by a source that it is protected from.

Circle of Protection: Black does not 'target' the source, therefore Protection From White does not stop the Circle of Protection from preventing that creature's damage.

What is untapped?

Untapped market is that portion of Market that has been untouched or which is unnoticed by the sellers .

How does trample works on magic if a lot of creatures block a trample creature?

If multiple creatures block a creature with trample, the attacking player assigns damage to the blocking creatures equal to the power of the attacking creature. Ex. A creature with power 10 and trample attacks. You block with 4 creatures. The attacking player may assign the 10 damage as he/she chooses among the blocking creatures. If any damage is still left over, that would go through to you, the defending player. Note: The attacking creature will take damage equal to the combined power of all blocking creatures.

What type of creature is a basilisk?

A basilisk is a serpent with nine pairs of legs and the head of a cockeral. Its stare kills and its breath turns you to stone. It is featured in Harry Potter

When you cast flash can you respond using that creature's ability before you have to sacrifice the creature?

Normally, no, there is nothing to respond to. You resolve all parts of Flash's effect before you can put anything else on the stack. But if you want to pay the cost you can use the creature's mana abilities to pay for it, assuming it has haste or does not need to tap, mana abilities do not use the stack and can be used during the resolution of an effect.

In Magic the Gathering does all of the criteria for the card Decimate have to fulfilled for it to work or could you play it even if an opponent doesnt control an artifact ect?

Because it targets, it can only be cast if there are enough valid targets for it. So for a card like Hex, there must be at least 6 creatures; Hex cannot be used just against 5 or less. Likewise, there must be a valid creature, artifact, enchantment and land for Decimate to target, or it can't even be cast. (Note, the opponent doesn't necessarily have to have an artifact, if you need to, you could target one of your own. But it still must target one artifact).

This is different to non-targeting cards like Akroma's Vengeance, which destroys all creatures, artifacts and enchantments. Because it does not target anything, it doesn't matter if there are no artifacts in play, it can still be cast.

MTG Can Krosan Drover reduce a card with X converted mana cost X equals 0 conversion if the controler pays 6 or more mana for it also if they can would only paying 4 plus -2 mana cancel the effect?

When working out the cost for a card with X, first decide what X will be, and then apply any cost reducing/increasing effects.

If a card costs G(X) (eg, Hurricane) then if you decide X will be 6, then Krosan Drover makes it so you only need to pay G + (4). If you decide X will be 0, then you only need to pay G, but you could decide X is 2 and still pay only G. The point is you need to declare what X will be.
