I find it is extremely easy to use moisturizer, just apply on the area that has the makeup on and wipe off with a tissue! I do this when ever i run out of makeup remover, i find it works nicely.

It all depends on what you use to apply your make-up. Our fingers carry bacteria and most people do not wash their hands long enough to remove much. So I would say if you are using your fingers to apply your make-up, 2-3 months, this is even a long time.
