If you're talking about Mario Kart Wii:
Go to your licence, and when the main menu screen comes up, click "Licence Options" and click "Records" and you will find out how many races you have raced. Note: The race count does not count towards Wi-Fi races. Those are counted in the Wi-Fi records bit.
The wins count is how many people you have come above, and losses is how many people you have come below in the final race standings.
Get stars in all of the grand prix's for example;1 star in all grand prix's (50cc,100cc,150 and mirror) will earn you one star in your online name(its the same for 2 stars and 3 stars).

I think Luigi's vacuum kart is the fastest and the best to handle.. along with bones and his kart.
I personnaly think Peach's "Light Tripper" is one of the fastest car. The stats for speed isn't the best but if you look at the drift, it is max. It also has a high acceleration so making the drifting have quite a good boost. BUT, if you are not very good with drifting, DO NOT use it because it won't be a fun moment. I use this car almost everytime and I have beaten quite a lot of staff's record with this car. So again, use it only if you are good at drifting. Lastly, this car is quite useful for dodging the blue shell when you're in first place because of it's good drifting. If you do not know how to dodge blue shells, check some YouTube video to learn.
Tip: Don't just look at the stat for speed, you should also look at other stats because they can make a big different.

you have to get a gold cup on every course of every class also you need to get a 3 star rating on every course you do this by avioding obstacles and stay in 1st place for the longest time possible.
you need to complete all time trials in a record time beating the ghost data (ussally 20-25 seconds faster then the original computer's ghost data).
you have to have a super Mario galaxy game save on your Nintendo wii then play 50 of the 50cc cups to unlock a character named rosalina.
once you have done the above you should of unlocked every character and vechicle then you need to have a broadband connection and you need to play a lot on Nintendo wi-fi as you only start with 5000 points and to be the best you need to have 15000 points so it will take a long while
