Spider-Man never really directly kills someone in Sam Raimi's trilogy, but the Green Goblin (Spiderman) and Venom (Spiderman 3) are killed or vanished in a fight with Spiderman.

The word 'superhero' is merely a 'modernism' for what has historically been simply termed, "comic book heroes".

As such, a crime-fighting adventurer does not have to literally have some "super" power to fit into the crime-fighting adventurer mould. This means that comic strips, such as Flash Gordon, The Phantom and 'Mandrake the Magician' existed well before Superman, for instance.

Superman (1938), on the other hand, is called the "prototypical superhero" possessing or acquiring paranormal or parahuman powers, which makes him the first of the superheroes.

Hulk (2003), The Incredible Hulk (2008), and The Avengers (2012). There have been rumours that Hulk may appear in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) or Thor: The Dark World (2013).

It's usually blue in most comics. But, it really depends on what the writer wants it to be. I think it was blue in the movie though.

The Superhero Movie that was released in 2008 was directed and written by Craig Mazain. The movie did not to well at the box office and currently has only 4 stars out of 10 on IMDB's rating.

Both Marvel and DC have characters that everyone has heard of. For DC they are Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. For Marvel they are the X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk. In the mainstream I would say Marvel wins out though. They have had more success over all in the area of blockbuster movies. This brings characters to kid's sneakers, billboards, popcorn buckets, etc. The increased marketing helps make certain characters more of a household name.

Answer: Relatively speaking the most recognizable names from the USA are Nixon, Bush, and Superman. DC characters are infamously more recognizable, and relatively household names; however, Marvel generally sells more comics, and does better in overall marketing. I would label Marvel as the more popular comics company.

I think personally DC is more popular then marvel except for in films but not tv. If you go on IMDB Arrow and Flash are both extremely popular shows. Not just that but the superman radio show and the Adam West Batman show were both popular. Super friends, justice league, batman the animated show. Batman and Superman are wayyyyyy more well known then Captain America and Iron Man. DC wins everyday.
