6. He'll now say something like "It's good to have all of our cards on the table. I only regret that you have the better hand. Very well Shepard, I'll testify." You'll get the points now.

7. Don't exit the conversation! Inquire about Matriarch Benezia. when he's done talking, you'll have the option to mention the evidence again.

8. Repeat steps 4 to 7 until you have max Renegade points.

There are 2 types of hacking in ME2, one is a scrolling set of encrypted files that you have to match up to the ones showing while avoiding crossing the red files and matching up 3 in the time provided. The other type is rewiring a computer board to match 2 of the identical symbols without making too many mistakes and in the short time provided. Failing either can prevent you from attempting to hack it again unless you have a perk that doesn't break it down if you fail.

To save Legion in Mass Effect 3, you must complete the quest "A House Divided" during the mission on Rannoch. When you reach the point where you have to choose between destroying the geth or uploading Legion's consciousness to the geth network, choose to upload Legion.
