How do you work out the value of n if it when multiplied by 7.9 gives 23.7?
You write an equation such as:7.9n = 23.7
Then, you should notice that you want to get the "n" alone on one side. Therefore, you need to get rid of the 7.9 (on the left side). To get rid of 7.9, and since there is a multiplication, you need to DIVIDE both sides by 7.9. This will give you "n" by itself on the left, and the equivalent number on the right.
