Mathematical Constants

Intriguing, ubiquitous, and at times mysterious, numerical constants set the allowable limits for all universal phenomena. Whether your questions involves π, Avogadro's number, Planck's constant, the atomic mass unit, or any of the other multitudes of immutable numbers used in science, this is the category where they should be asked.

What is the world record for the number of Pi digits calculated?

A report in June 2009 said that Japanese researchers had used the T2K open supercomputer

to calculate the value of pi out to 2.5 trilliondecimal places.

Believe that or don't, as you prefer. Either way probably won't make a whole lot of difference

in your daily life.

How do you get the math pi?

pi is an irrational number, which if calculated as a decimal, will have an unending sequence of digits which never repeats.

You can use 3.14 or the fraction 22/7 as an approximation. There are tables with pi carried out to thousands of digits, as well as formulas to calculate the digits of pi using infinite series.

Scientific calculators as well as many spreadsheet software programs have a built-in value for pi, that can be accessed. See related link for more information.

How may zeros are there in a googol?

A googol is defined as 10100. Written out, you get a 1, followed by 100 zeroes.

Zero divided by zero equals undefined?

If there is a number that zero is divided by zero then it's an error. Look on your calculator. If you press in 0 divided by 0 then there would be a zero but the is an error on the side. And also any number that is divided by zero would be error because of something...I forgot but yeah.

And if your doing an equation then you have an equation that is divided by zero then your equation would be an indefied equation.

I hope that I helped.

The first answer is a common misconception and the second answer is closer to being correct. Suppose for example that we went with the first answer and sais 3/0 = infinity, then multiplying both sides by zero would give

3 = 0*infinity and we could do the same for any other number. Clearly this is non-sensical and so we say any number divided by zero is undefined.

How will you use a complex number in your life?

As well as their use within mathematics, complex numbers have practical applications in many fields, including physics, chemistry, biology, economics, electrical engineering, and statistics.

What is the first 500 numbers of pi?
