Iron maiden is, and always truly will be, the best band in existence. the Irons even influenced Metallica. Iron maiden songs combine history and literature with face-melting riffs, and have the best instrumentals I've ever heard. There really is no question here; Metallica is only more popular because they appear in the media. I dunno why some dumb kids vote metallica over iron maiden when they've not heard of the Irons and barely even gotten into metallica, but chavs like that exist, I suppose.
If you still think Metallica is better than Maiden, listen to about any song from the Powerslave album, preferably the title track, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, or two minutes to midnight. If you still aren't impressed, look at Hallowed be thy Name, Transylvania, even Run to the Hills, or Loneliness of the long distance runner.

Iron Maiden, first of all, has one of the greatest vocalists in history. Bruce Dickinson has a great voice, etc, that makes him one of the greatest metal vocalist in history.
Iron Maiden has a complex and great guitar layering made by the 3 guitarists, who are all highly skilled, and the drummer is also highly skilled. Steve Harris is a great musician and a bassist, and is far better than Metallica.
Overall, Iron Maiden > Metallica.
All metallica's best riffs were from mustaine and maiden is an incredible band im tired of so many metallica fan boys. Iron Maiden are technically more gifted in the sense that each of their guitarists have amazing abilities and are incredibly synchronised. They also have a technically better vocalist in Bruce Dickinson compared to Hetfield.

Iron Maiden beat Metallica in every category. Vocals, guitar skills, bass, drums, also a much more consistent band, having released 9 albums in a row that were all awesome in their own unique way (Number Of The Beast, Piece Of Mind, Powerslave, Live After Death, Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, No Prayer For The Dying, Fear Of The Dark, and a Real Live Dead One). Maiden perform so much better live, having picked up a Brit award for their live shows recently. Metallica are only more popular because they were way more mainstream than Maiden.

Hmmmmm. first off you need to work on your spelling. Tiger Woods will definitely be the best golfer ever and break all the records. Jack Nicklaus will probably be considered the most clutch ball striker of all time, with Tiger being the most clutch putter. Palmer was just an awesome guy and Hogan had the prettiest swing. I can't believe you didn't put Sam Snead (most wins all time 82). what about Bobby Jones who just hung up playing to pursue his academic accomplishments. (passed the bar exam after one year studying.) All these guys are/were incredible, but undoubtedly Tiger will be the best ever! HANDS DOWN!
