This is very unlikely since fentanyl is a synthetic opiate with a very different structure. Some drug tests for opiates may be able to detect fentanyl, so it could show up positive (it would probably say "morphine and other opiates" or something).

First off, it depends what meth you are talking about. METHADONE does block opiate withdrawal symptoms and is used to get people off of herion or other opiates. If you are talking about methamphetamine, than no. Methamphetamine will actually make opiate withdrawal worse at times, but it may make it easier to deal with them during the "high" of methamphetamine because of how powerful of a drug it is.

I wouldn't fight that battle. Just find another methadone clinic or get on suboxone. I went to a clinic for years before suboxone came along and can't even imagine having to go back to a clinic. Suboxone has made my life so much better and helps in so many ways. I didn't even know that the government owned clinics either or have never heard of it. Are you sure it is government owned. All clinics get government money but are not necessarily government owned. Sorry, if I wasn't much help.

The same as if you take it orally. First off, your making a HUGE mistake if you nasally ingest a methadone pill. It will burn the crap out of your nose and it will expand and clog your nose making your lose a lot of the medication. If you put a methadone pill in water you will see that it expands to almost double or triple its original size when it hits any moisture. But the most significant point (if those are not enough for you) is that it makes no difference at all. Methadone is not like other quick acting opiates. Methadone is a slow acting, long lasting medication. It does not absorb quickly into your bloodstream like other opiate pills. So basically, it is a complete waste of time and your nose's health.

Methadone can be used to treat pain, but is VERY VERY dangerous, and can stop your breathing if you take too high of a dose. It is a very serious medication, much more dangerous than common recreational opiates/opioids such as Oxycodone, Hydrocodone(Vicadon), and you should be very careful if taking the medication. Its effects can last days too. But yes, it does kill pain. =]

Methadone can be an extremely effective pain killer when all other opiates have failed. however it does not produce the euphoria that other opiate pain killers do. Its long half life makes it extremely dangerous because addicts who are unfamiliar with the effects will use it for a buzz and continue to take more pills not realizing the power of the drug. This is why there are so many overdoses. Methadone also does not mix well with alcohol and anxiety meds like benzos. I have been taking methadone for 3 years for several herniated discs and it has really helped me live a little better but I am also closely monitored by a doctor and NEVER NEVER take more than directed. I did this once and wound up in the ER. Addicts tend to take much higher doses than pain patient's to have it work effectively. This drug is not for everyone and is very difficult to come off of when its time to do so.

Im on 75mg and been clean 4 mths.WITH RESPECT,methadone is not a blocker but a morphine subsitute,i think the question is pretty stupid in the 1st place,any use of herion,regardless of how much is taken & how it is used is going to be bad for your physical health,for the guy whos on 75ml,keep it up man BUT methadone is a lot harder to come of than herion,i was origonaly on 110ml,reduced 10ml weekly & was fine till i got down to about 40ml,the last 5ml was the hardest,felt like i was withdrawing from 105ml!!still wasnt sleeping 2months later & the only time i had a proper sleep is if i took some kind of opiate,once you've reduced to around 30ml i would suggest asking your gp about "suboxone"i found this a great help &it also has naltrexone in it which is an opiate agravater,take any other opiate with it & it just knocks you into withdrawels,its never a good idea to mix different opiates,stay safe folks
