None of the plans include the call forwarding feature. It has to be added for 5 bucks/mnth. First you need to call customer service and tell them to add the feature, then you can use it by dialing *72 followed by the 10-digit phone number that you want to forward to and then the send button. You will hear a wacky tone.

To stop the call forwarding, dial *73 followed by the send button.

The reason probably is MetroPCS doesn't want picture messages having large mp3 files attached being sent across their networks, very burdensome for their network traffic. As I'm sure you tried already picture messages allow a sound attachment, but only from the "my sounds" folder. which supports midi and i think mp3 if it's downloaded from a website, but i haven't tried that yet. i did receive a pic message with an mp3 attached but sender was just forwarding it so not sure how the original sender did it, probably downloaded from a website or maybe bluetooth.

Well lets look at the factors here. Metro PCS does have unlimited everything for the max of $60 a month. Although, there are some consequences for paying so cheap for a plan. 1) If you want a smart phone, be ready to pay $200+ for it & the first months payment before you walk out the door. Another downfall is if you have a smartphone you probably use the internet & apps a lot, but with Metropcs their data comes and goes as it pleases. The more you use your data the slower it gets then eventually goes away for awhile then pops back up which is very annoying. And since Metro's towers aren't everywhere like AT&T, you have poor signal in many places, which is a little scary if you get stranded, and your phone doesn't have a signal or Data.

Yes AT&T is more expensive, you are looking to pay $100+ a month for a plan if you want a Smartphone. With AT&T you are paying for quality, and reliability. You won't loose data, you won't loose signal...BUT there are credit checks that kinda suck, unlike Metro PCS which doesn't have credit checks. Although there are ways around it, you can get a friend or family member that has great credit to buy the phones for you! Its really easy.

If you aren't looking for top speed, and great signal, then for for Metro PCS. But if you want fastest speed, great coverage, and able to use your apps at anytime then go with AT&T.

(i have had Metro PCS since 2003, it worked great with non-smart phones, but with smart phones it really just didn't cut it. My work revolves around my phone, so I need something that is reliable.
