What was the Mousekedial?

I don"t know exactly, but it was some kind of prop akin to the trick maiboxes used in some television shows as a sort of bridge to coming attractions. One more or less educational show (Get On Board) used the forward smokebox of a locomotive to house the coming attractions, opened up ( with whistle sound effects) at the end of the show,. This would be most hazardous in real life as the area was under live steam on a real locomotive and was bolted shut externally anyhow. It might have been some sort of Disney-fied combination lock- I seem to recall the phrase Great Big Smile was tied into ( How we set the Mousekedial!) it was some sort of prop- probably used to announced coming attractions like the smokebox mail box mentioned before.

Why was Walt Disney crazy?

He wasn't. Just very different in the thoughts of imagination than others.

If you're talking about when he went through temporary depression, that was because he accidently killed his mother. There was a leak in the gas meter and it was left unattended to and he wasn't present at his house at the moment, but his mother was and it exploded.

Hope this helps.

What is the value of a vintage ABU 6000 fishing reel with red transparent handles reel number 040902?

Unfortunately, the answer I have for you is quite obtuse. Without seeing VERY good quality photographs, or actually seeing the reel in question, it's impossible to put anything like an accurate value on the real. Even after examination, a valuation would be, at best, an 'educated guesstimate'. In real life, the reel is worth either a/ what someone else is prepared to pay for it b/ the price you would need to pay to replace it (which may well depend upon exactly how badly you want to replace it!) Both of these are affected most of all by the condition of the reel itself, and value is usually enhanced, often disproportionately, if the original box, case, spares, documents etc are present. A while ago, I sold a similar reel via EBAY (sort of) for a price well in excess of anything I expected. A little searching on there for reels of the same type (amongst the completed listings) showed me the prices the reels had been selling for. It was apparent to me that mine was far superior, and I had noticed that a (Japanese) buyer was bidding frquently on such reels.
I contacted him with details, he asked for a price for me to sell at. Quandry ... as I still had no real idea. So ... I put on a price that I thought I'd be happy with, then added a further 25% (figuring that he would probably try to negotiate). Still not sure why, but at the last moment, before sending the email, I doubled the price ... and he still said YES without hesitation!. Could I have got more? Possibly. Was I happy to still sell at that price? At more than twice the highest I had in mind? Take a guess:-)
