Secondly, make the roads and place street lamps on the pavements. The roads can be half size blocks (wood, cobblestone or sanddstone) and the pavements double stone steps. The street lamps should be made of stacked fences and glowstone.

You make them by placing iron in a T shape (the lower part of the T is 1 block, the overstroke is 3) and then a pumpkin on the middle of the top.
