I'm not a Doctor, however, I can say this DID happen to me. It turned out that there was a 2nd fetus, which turned out to be (eventually) non viable too. If it hadn't happened t me...I wouldn't have believed it! Sometimes they continue to rise because the cells continue to divide even though there is no viable fetus. This happened to me. It basically means the gestational sac keeps growing, but there's no fetus in it.

Yes, there is a condition called 'Vanishing twin syndrome'. This occurs when a twin disappears in the uterus during pregnancy as a result of a miscarriage of one twin. The fetal tissue is absorbed by the other twin, multiple, placenta or the mother.

If you mean can a miscarriage happen in the absence of a doctor, yes, certainly.

If you mean do you have to go to a doctor after a miscarriage, yes, you must. Some tissue can be left behind that can cause serious trouble. The doctor will make sure everything is cleaned out.

I would not recommend NOT going to the doctors. When you have a miscarriage, doctors will normally perform what is called a D&C (Dilation and Curettage) which is used to gently scrape the lining of the uterus and remove the tissue in the uterus. Pretty much to get out anything that may be leftover. D&C's are performed under general anesthesia, so you will not have to worry about pain.

I have also heard that if one is not performed, it can possibly cause gangrene. So I would highly recommend going to your doctor or to a hospital!

Last year I was pregnant for twins but didn't even know it until I miscarry one that was hiding the other twin.. I was 11 weeks when I lost the twin.. We could tell from about 6 weeks that the one up front wasn't growing and knew I'd lose it. But didn't expect the other twin to be there when they checked me out with a ultrasound. I didn't have any bleeding or cramping until the miscarriage happened... Then I still didn't cramp and only spotted for a few days but then it stopped and that's when we found out about the other baby... Now my son is 3 months old, happy and healthy!

That said, we can deduce that with all probability that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has endured many things (the death of her parents and sibling, the misfortunes of her children and their progeny), however, she has not endured the loss of a pregnancy/child.

If you are at home it's a good thing if you being it to the hospital and if you are having it at the hospital they will take care of it. They usually send it to pathology and then it ends up in the can for human waste which is correct procedure according to the law. Well, if you're faking a pregnancy, you should still be getting your period. If you're still early in your 'pregnancy' (say 1-3 months, where the 'child' would still be about the size of a large blood clot on your period), you can 'miscarry' and feign that an overly large blood clot is the 'baby.'

I went to A&E with a bad kidney infection, were they told me i was about 7 weeks pregnant, which I had no idea about! about 3 weeks later I had a miscarriage, I saw my kidney doctor yesterday and he said that there is a chance it could have caused it but assured me the antibiotics I was on were safe, he said the more likely answer is I had a raised temperature so this could have factored in the miscarriage.

It is not there and that means its a false pregenancy . Either you loss the baby or the body thinks it is pregnant but it is not .

Yes you can fall pregnant as you will ovulate before you have a period. If you feel you are not quite ready yet to try for another baby please use contraception

My husband is an identical twin, and we have fraternal twin son/daughter. when asked what it is like being a twin they can't say, any more than I can say what it is like to be a singleton. You should wait until you at least have one normal menstrual cycle after miscarriage to avoid infection in your uterus, but it IS best to wait 3 months to try again. Even with an early miscarriage, your body needs to recover and it takes about 3 months for your uterus and hormones to return to normal after pregnancy. There is a greater than normal chance of having another miscarriage if you start trying again too early. The longer you were pregnant before miscarriage also affects the amount of time it takes for your body to return to normal. Talk to your doctor.
