Not true. I am living proof, got an ultrasound thinking that I was 8 weeks pregnant to detect a heartbeat, only surprise I was in fact only 6 weeks pregnant with three amniotic sacs with three embryo's meaning triplets. However, I have to wait yet again to detect any heartbeat activity.

Well it depends on how far along you are, but if it's under say, 10 weeks or so then it will just be really heavy bleeding and maybe a few blood clots. My doctor told me if you go through a pad in less than an hour, go to the doctor because you're bleeding too much. Also, depending on far you are, it can be seriously painful. Most of the time at this young of an age, you will not be able to tell the baby from a blood clot. Oh, and make sure to go to the doctor when you think it's all done to make sure all of it came out, because if not, then it can lead to serious problems. Hope this helps :)

Well I had a natural miscarriage ( had a gestational sac but no baby) but usually your soppose to check up with your doctor and they willl either do a ultrasound or test your hcg levels or both. However you can take a pregnancy test to see if you test positve because its basically the same thing the doctor does or you can tell by your bleeding stopping. I'm no doctor I'm just going by experience. Like I said I had a miscarriage natural with no check up because I'm sure everything is out and my first period was awful lots of pain and blood clots. Still I recommend to see a doctor.

Labor really isn't as bad as it sounds, and there is no way to give yourself a miscarriage without injuring yourself badly as well. Although, after reading this question, I kind of feel like you would deserve it. Anyways, the safest way to get rid of the unborn fetus is to get an abortion at a clinic. You would have reasonably heavy bleeding that is generally quite painful (if you are in the earlier stages of pregnancy) In the later stages of pregnancy, once you are regularly feeling your baby move, if you have not felt your baby move in 12 hours, you should go to the hospital, however it does not neccessarily mean that you have lost your baby

It is possible, but the bleeding could also have been from implantation bleeding. A pregnancy test will show positive for a while after a miscarriage because your body has not rid itself of the HCG (pregnancy hormone) levels yet. The further along you were, the longer a pregnancy test will show positive. I would still be on the lookout for any symptoms of pregnancy, continue taking your prenatal vitamins (or at least folic acid), refrain from alcohol and tobacco and caffeine then in a couple weeks take another test and see. Or you can go to the doctor to either confirm pregnancy or miscarriage.
