Can 49 year old women still get pregnant naturally?

Yes, a 49 year old woman can conceive naturally if she is still menstruating. However, That does not make it safe. While the woman's eggs may be viable that doesn't mean they're healthy. By the time a woman turns 40 her chances of producing a child with Downs Syndrome increases exponentially. The risk of many other birth defects, pregnancy and health complications also rises. Pregnancy after the age of 40 also increases the health risks to the mother. So, even though a 49 year old woman CAN get pregnant, that does not mean they SHOULD. Adoption would be a much safer route for both the mother and child.

If its been a week after a miscarriage and you take a pregnancy test and it comes back positive are you be pregnant?

Will drinking coffee effect a pregnancy test?

I highly doubt it...There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought On rare occasions you can encounter a false positive due to improper testing, expired pregnancy tests, rare medical conditions such as certain types of cancer, evaporation lines or a chemical pregnancy.

To ensure the best results:

  • Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest
  • Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results
  • Take the test no more than 1-2 days before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low.
  • urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip
  • wait for the results!

Does a miscarriage hurt?

It totally depends on the person, and how far gone they are.

It does not always hurt. I had a misscarriage over a month ago, and i did not suffer any pain at all. Although my friend has a misscarriage last year and was in really bad pain.

Its the same with bleeding, I had a light period, but then again my friend just had a really heavy bleed for an hour or so.

It all depends on the person, and how far along you are.

Are women more fertile at age 19 than 25?

I got my period when I was 12 and my periods were irregular until I was about the age of 18 or 19. I'm now 24. Just gave birth to my son. I got preggars on my first month of trying. I really don't think anyone can answer this person because everyone is different. A woman may be 19 years old with irregular periods or have cists or endometriosis, while a 25 year old may have no problems and gets preggars without trying. Or a 40 year old woman could fall prego without hardly trying and a 19 year old struggles because of the issue above.

If you had a positive pregnancy test but then you started your period could you still be pregnant or did you have a miscarriage?

It's very hard to get a false positive result on a pregnancy test. The bleeding might be implantation bleeding. You should consult your doctor, and maybe take another home test once the bleeding stops.

Is it normal to bleed a lot while on your period?

Although, if it's causing you a lot of pain, as well.

You should probably go see your doctor.

Good luck!

How far into a pregnancy can you miscarry?

What does the emergency room do for miscarriages?

well i didn't know i had a misscarriage but when i went 2 the ER they made me wait took me in the triage aked me questions sent me right in gave me a pregnancy test through urine and blood the reason for that is that sometimes one of ur hormones that tells the test ur pregnant is not high enough and they take the blood test for 100% accuracy then they sent me to another room so a ER gynocologist and a female nurse to check me out they inserted 2 cotton swabbs inside ur vargina that just a procedure they do to check for std's and what ever else there looking for, Next step is to take a ultra sound they make u drink about 4 cups of water so they can see what happening in ur stomach and your uteras to see if your pregnant or not or having other medical issuses well for me i was bleeding for 6 months straight the only reason i did not go to the ER is cause i didn't have medical insurance sooo i waited wich is not good cause all that time i was bleeding i had hair loss, anemia, pain, large bloodcloths, dehdration. So all the test came back negative but i was pregnant but i went to see the doctor late sooo he said my system was cleaned out already that there is nothing they can do they prescribed me iron pills and birth control to stop the bleeding but if u was still having a misscarriage they probably do everything that i metioned of they above and take a medical vacum which i forgot what the medical name of it is ( ) and take everything out and cleaning it

What do light periods mean?

A woman can experience a range of different symptoms during her period.

Some periods can be 'heavy flow,' which means a lot more blood and lining is coming out over the course of the week. This is all relative to her normal cycle.

Some periods can be the opposite, not a lot of mess and fuss. Instead of wearing heavy duty pads, and/or normal pads (and tampons), she might just wear a combination of normal and light pads and pantiliners.

Many women on birth control pills experience lighter periods, but more often experience spotting throughout the month.

When are women more fertile?

When they are ovulating, which you can track by knowing the days prior to when you normally get your period if you are on a "normal" cycle. The egg will live for 12-24 hours after leaving the ovary before it and your uterine lining are shed through your period, and sperm can live for 48 hours or so inside the body. So that gives you an optimal period of around 3-4 days to get pregnant!

Whats are ways to cause a miscarriage at home?

A1:Stress,recieving blows to the abdominal area, lifting heavy weights, yoga, and using certain herbs, but honestley i have no idea why you would wan't to get rid of such a precious miracle and if you were mature enough to have sex then you should be mature enough to accept the consequences! A2:If you try to abort without a doctors supervision that is an illegal abortion which is 2-10 years in prison!

Also, a hard blow to the stomach means it has to be so hard that you get hurt too. Your uterus can rupture and you can bleed to death. That is IF you abort! You can make the fetus damaged and not abort.

Yoga can not make you miscarry or abort.

Stress? You have to be really really stressed under a long period of time and not eat properly or sleep for that to even have a chance.

There are no herbs that work. The stuff women say they have tried was also tried on mice and yes they miscarried at 2 weeks of pregnancy. That means that the women it worked on that early might have miscarried by themselves or their period was delayed for other reasons like fear of being pregnant. Tests have never been done on humans.

It's not as easy to miscarry or abort on purpose as one thinks. The body do a good job to protect the fetus. So get yourself to a clinic and have it legally and safely done.

What are some signs of being pregnant within the first week?

Does birth control cause your cervix to close?

One of the ways that hormonal birth control prevents pregnancy is by thickening the cervical mucus, making it more difficult for sperm to get to the egg. Birth control doesn't close the cervix, but it does make it less permeable.

Is it safe to get pregnant 10 days after an early miscarriage and before your period?

Depending on what your doctor believes it may/may not be safe to jump into another pregnancy right after having a miscarriage. A miscarriage is a hard thing to come back from and you might not want to jump back into something that your body might not be ready for. I would suggest taking some time off for you and then when your health and spirits are back up, talk to your partner about what affect this will have on you guys if you decide to try again.

I think it is wonderful that you want to try again, I wish you all the luck in the world. But just do yourself a favor and take a couple weeks off and just focus on you and your health. It will make you stronger in the future when you try again.

Good luck.

You maywant to talk to your gynocologist about considering a "D and C". D and C is a procedure to scrape and collect the tissue (endometrium) from inside the uterus. This procedure may be indicated for the removal of any remaining fetal or placental tissue after a spontaneous abortion.

Does drinking coffee kill sperm?

A little bit of coffee actually speeds up sperm. However, too much coffee, about the amount of an average of three cups a day, can cause DNA damage that will lead to birth defects. It won't kill the sperm it will mutate it, often rearranging the chromosomes that will lead to the embryo dying. It's best to keep coffee intake low. You don't have to elminate it, afterall coffee has its health benefits as well, including increased prostate health.

Your period is 4 days early?

You have just had a miscarriage at five week you have been trying to get pregnant for two and a half years what are your chances of getting pregnant again?

Some females have had multiple miscarriages and still are able to conceive. It just takes patience the only thing that was recommended is that you wait till you have another menstrual cylce before you try to conceive again. Also if you and your partner have tried multiple times and still are unable then, there is a test that your physician can give, to see which individual is producing more hormone and how to balance the hormone.
