Mission Statements

The United Nations statement of principles was based on the belief in the need for international cooperation to ensure peace, security, and development for all nations. It emphasized the principles of sovereignty, equality, and respect for human rights as fundamental to promoting a stable and prosperous world.

Vision describes the desired future state or long-term goals of an organization, while mission defines the core purpose or reason for the organization's existence. Vision is aspirational and focuses on what the organization aims to achieve, whereas mission highlights what the organization does to fulfill its vision.

Exxon Mobil Mission Statement from their Guiding Principles:

"Exxon Mobil Corporation is committed to being the world's premier petroleum and petrochemical company. To that end, we must continuously achieve superior financial and operating results while adhering to the highest standards of business conduct. These unwavering expectations provide the foundation for our commitments to those with whom we interact."

There is no name for the person, but they are called premonitions. Some people have them, visions of future events. I have had around 5 myself. All of mine were nothing important. But you never know....

GSK's vision is to create a healthier world for everyone by researching, developing, and delivering innovative products and medicines. Their mission is to help people do more, feel better, and live longer by focusing on improving healthcare outcomes and providing access to quality healthcare for all.

Supporting statements are pieces of evidence or reasons that back up the main idea or argument presented in a discussion or writing. Supporting statements help to convince the audience of the validity and credibility of the main argument.

The mission and vision statements of Royal Dutch Shell focus on being profitable, environmentally responsible, and socially responsible. They also focus on finding more efficient ways for using natural resources.

A philosophical statement typically conveys a belief or perspective on life, knowledge, or existence, while a mission statement outlines an organization's purpose, values, and goals. Philosophical statements are more abstract and personal, focusing on guiding principles, whereas mission statements are practical and strategic, aimed at defining an entity's direction and identity.

Laura Ashley's core values include a focus on timeless elegance, romanticism, and traditional craftsmanship. They prioritize quality and attention to detail in their designs, while also emphasizing sustainability and ethical practices in their production processes. Overall, Laura Ashley values a sense of nostalgia and a commitment to creating products that inspire a sense of beauty and comfort in the home.

In his sermon, Edwards sets forth the purpose of warning the unconverted sinners of the imminent danger of God's wrath and the urgent need for repentance to avoid eternal damnation.

It is possible, however not recommended for individuals and businesses to survive long term. The vision and mission statements and defined values determine organizational strategic planning. Without strategic planning planning a company is doomed for failure. Businesses today are much more than the mom and pop mentality of the past. Businesses today must take into consideration all the internal and external driving forces (environmental factors). Without a vision and mission statement their is no solid foundation from which to build upon.

Leadership

The leader name let's say Z and member names respectively is A,B,C,D and E. E is hard to be over come by Z. As a leader, Z tries to encourage him (E) but unfortunately always fail and most of the time E never follow what has been ordered by Z. By giving him an inspiration, Z always try to do his best to direct E in right direction based on the organization vision. Comparing with E, D is too slow in finishing her job even a very soft one. She does not have any good skills and sometime she fails to grasp the idea when Z gave her a new job. She never talk to her friends even she has many personal problem, just keep it to be solved by herself. A is very proactive member in this group and sometime trusted to represent a group in a debate event and he always win. He always help his friends who have a problem, not only personal but social, economic as well. He is able to communicate orally or verbally and is very delighted to be a worker. Difference with A , D and E, B is not serious worker and he is never consistent in any kind of job given by Z. Sometime he gets angry with Z without any reason and he does not have willingness to work and stay as a member of this group. When he wants to decide to quit from this job, he is still thinking about his mother since he is the only son at his house and he should be responsible for his mother since his father passed away when he was at 14. However, he is too smart and his skills in computer is highly required by this group. Nevertheless, he is weaker worker that C both physically and psychologically, especially when he has been asked to make a decision badly, he was able to do it effectively without any complaint by anybody. He is also good in managing his stress when he fails to do his mission in achieving the organizational goal effectively.

A good mission statement is a clear, concise declaration of an organization's purpose, values, and goals.
