What is a capuchin monk?

The Golden-bellied Capuchin (Cebus xanthosternos), also known as the Yellow-breasted or Buffy-headed Capuchin, is one of several Speciesof New_World_monkey.

Although there are differences between individuals as well as between the sexes and across age groups, C. xanthosternos is described as having a distinctive yellow to golden red chest, belly and upper arms. Its face is a light brown and its cap for which the Capuchin_monkeywere first named is a dark brown/black or light brown. Formerly thought to be a Subspeciesof Tufted_Capuchin(C. apella), it was elevated to the status of species. Despite this previous classification, C. xanthosternos does not have very evident tufts, as they are oriented towards the rear of the skull and are hardly noticeable. A band of short hair around the upper part of the face with speckled colouring contrasts with the darker surrounding areas. The limbs and tail are also darkly coloured.

Populations of C. xanthosternos are restricted to the Atlanticforest of south-eastern Bahia,Brazil, due possibly to high degrees of interference from man. Historically they probably would have inhabited the entire area east of, and north to, the São_Francisco_River.

Only 300 individuals survive

Who says that human person came from monkey?

No religions said that Human came from Apes.Evolutionary theory introduced by Darwin is null and void as the scientists had rejected the theory in the late 20th century.

Humans 'are' apes, sort of cousins to monkeys. We share a lot of DNA patterns with them and the obvious physical characteristics, too.

There is no such thing as 'a religion that says we came from monkeys'.

Only a scientific, evidence based explanation, bolstered by DNA technology which proves we are descended from ape-like creatures - which in fact we are... ape-like.

If there was a god and it wanted to design a Human, why did it make us look like bald apes?

The answer to that is that there is of course no such thing as a creator & no design.

Natural selection is the process by which variations compete for food/habitat etc. The successful ones survive & pass on their 'suitable' genes to the future. The unsuitable ones die out. This doesn't mean they're 'the fittest' or 'best' but merely that at the moment when certain environmental pressures were placed on them, they survived.

Sometimes it's more luck than judgment but most certainly not designed!

How have humans affected monkeys?

In the long run, the impact was extremely negative. Humans have always had a morbid fascination with chimps because they are so like us. Chimps were taken from Africa and presented as gifts to the royals of Europe only a few hundred years ago. They have long been used in the entertainment industry; they are routinely beaten in order to make them perform. Although they are fed and provided medical care, they are confined to zoos far away from the jungle habitats where they were born. They were sent to medical research labs to be injected with all sorts of diseases and toxins when it was discovered that we share almost 99% of our DNA, making chimps perfect human analogs. They were a staple research tool during the 1980s when the AIDS epidemic was raging. Chimps were injected with HIV tainted blood in the hopes that they would develop symptoms. They would then be injected with various medicinal cocktails to see if it would affect the disease. It was later discovered that AIDS doesn't affect them the same way as it does humans, so millions of dollars were wasted by the government in this area of research.
