I wondered this question myself, so i went to gamestop and asked them if i could see one. turns out, it's not as 3d as those movies, say, avatar, but it tricks the eye to make it a little 3d. it's still very cool, i'd buy one. $249.99.

No. The 3DS games are not currently set for release on the DS as well. One of the reasons may be that the 3DS has greatly enhanced online capabilities, and the 3D screen. It would be much more difficult from a coding standpoint to port these games between the 2 systems.

the charging cradle is just for more comfortable charging you don't need it for charging but its more safe and much more comfortable, and if you mean while the 3ds charging yes the cradle need to be plugged in with the charger so he can get electricity.
