Jodi Arias is a California native. She was convicted of the first degree murder of her boyfriend, Travis Alexander. She shot him in the face, stabbed him 27 times, and slit his throat. She claimed it to be self defense, and the case gained a large deal of media attention due to the sexual and violent nature of much of the testimony. She was convicted on May 8th, 2013.

George Gein, father of Ed Gein, died of natural causes on April 1, 1940. Henry Gein, brother to Ed, died in a brush fire on the Gein's isolated farm on May 16, 1944 and Gein's mother Augusta died on December 29, 1945, also of natural causes. As far as anyone can tell, Gein did not commit his first murder until November 16, 1957. Bernice Worden, aged 58 and a widow, disappeared from her hardware store. Prior to her disappearance, Gein had been asking about her which of course caused suspicions in local law enforcement. Although Gein was found gulity of first degree murder he spent the rest of his life in a hospital for the mentally ill.

Maybe you are confusing this person for the BTK strangler. His name is Dennis Lynn Rader who got Life imprisonment.

Although the movie was 'inspired' by true events, it is really considered a work of fiction, as are all of the main characters.

Some people do glorify serial killers. Museum are made to display their past properties. Museums are good and some people visit them for curiosity without glorizing them and some people that gloriy them also visit them. Wikianswers and myself doesn't glorify serial killers. Persons that glorify serial killers is fenomenom that few persons could explain or give you a reason why.

The real deal with people glorifying killers is that there is a part of their Psyche that relates of that of a serial killer. Usually this is a small part of them that will remain for the most part buried and can only surface in non threatening actions such as glorifying killers making them heroes of sorts fa filing a small fantasy.

There were three killers that used Craigslist to connect with their victims. Michael John Anderson was convicted in 2009 for the death of Katherine Ann Olson. The second killer was Philip Markoff (1986-2010). He was charged for the death of Julissa Brisman and two counts of armed robbery. Markoff comitted suicide before trial. Just this year 31 year old Brady Oestrike strangled to death 19 year old and eight months pregnant Brooke Slocum and bludgeoned and decapitated her 25 year old boyfriend Charlie Oppenneer after the couple sought Oestrike out on line for sex. Oestrike committed suicide after crashing his car while running from police. That brings the count to five between three killers.

According to Ridgeway himself in his 2003 confession after his arrest, Patricia Yellowrobe, who disappeared in 1998, was his last victim. This may or may not be the truth. Actually, Ridgeway had killed so many women over such a long period of time (2 decades) that even he could not recall all of them.

Anitra Mulwee went missing December 31, 2000, and was later found in the Green River. It is possible she could have been a victim but there is no way to tell. Likewise with 49 year old Sharon Engelhart, who disappeared in February 2001, and she too, was found later in the Green River.

Another possiblity is that there was a later, second killer that dumped the bodies in the Green River to lay blame on the Green River killer. Unless Ridgeway says for sure one way or another, the truth may be lost to history.

Albert Henry DeSalvo was a criminal in Boston, Massachusetts who confessed to being the "Boston Strangler", the murderer of 13 women in the Boston area. His confession has been disputed, and debate continues regarding which crimes DeSalvo actually committed. In 1973 DeSalvo was found stabbed to death in his prison by a fellow inmate.

Most serial killers are white and the US is has the most of them.

The jury has deliberated for many house in the Jodi Arias trial. However, the jury still has many more hours to deliberate for the whole case. Currently they are deciding if Jodi's was cruel without a doubt.

By 1901 the murders committed by "Jack the Ripper" were slowly fading from the memories of the East End inhabitants. The murder of Elizabeth Roberts on the 26th November 1898 by her sister Kate Marshall brought "The Ripper's" name back into the public's attention only because Elizabeth Roberts was murdered in the room directly above 13 Millers Court, Dorset Street, where Mary Kelly was butchered on the 9th November 1888.

He confessed to such, primarily the mentally ill and African-Americans because he believed they would not be missed.

According to the FBI the most common traits for children that later become serial killers is as follows:Fire starting, cruelty to animals, bed wetting, daydreaming that may turn to violent fantasies, compulsive masterbation and isolation.

Many of these traits are common behaviors of abused children, and it is known that a large percentage of serial killers were abused in one way or another, as children. So it is probably accurate to say that many serial killers display behaviors because they were in fact abused.

Whether they grow into serial murder or not, abused kids often times suffer from bed wetting. It may be a sign of control. Serial murder is, at it's most basic, about power and control. This fits in with bedwetting as a form of control in a child's life. It has also been theorized that a child wets or soils his/her bed as a means to keep an unwanted sexual abuser at bay. Although probably not a concious decision, it would be an effective way to ward off an unwanted predator.

There may be other reasons for the connection of serial killers and childhoold bedwetting which are still an unknown. More study is needed of these very rare type of killers.

Astrological Murders - California- Between December 1969 and November 1970, police in Northern California linked nine unsolved murders with a single perpetrator, still at large. A common bond is found in the disposal of the bodies, cast off in ravines, and in the killer's hypothetical obsession with astrology. Of nine acknowledged victims , seven died in fair proximity to a seasonal solstice or equinox, while two were slain on Friday the thirteenth. Additionally, it is possible the murders may have lasted through December 1973, with six more victims added to the body count.

Edward G. Edwards of Doylestown, OH was convicted for the murder of two teens in 1977.

There is only one documented case of a "little person" serial killer. His name was Bradley "Chopper" Smith. (1911-1949) He earned the nickname Chopper because he would kill people and then chop off their legs at the knees. He was deeply psychologically disturbed and wanted everyone else to be a midget.

He would usually target people larger than normal height to "bring them down to size". His preferred murder weapon was the chainsaw, however he did use a wide variety of weapons to kill his victims.

His height was 4'2" and weighed approximately 80lbs. Smith was born in San Diego, California July 5, 1911. He died on October 11, 1949, at the age of 38, after stumbling on a victim he was dismembering with his chainsaw, causing him to be impaled in the frontal lope with the saw.

He killed a total of 31 people all over the height of 6'2" and is said to be one of the cruelest serial killers of all time.
