no and it's loaded with gmo corn products and chemicals. anyone that eats this thinking it is good for them is crazy.
Wheat and oats are entirely different plants. They are of the family of grains that includes rye, barley and so forth. Wheat cereals cannot be made from oats any more than turkey sandwiches can be made from pork. Oat cereals cannot be made from wheat any more than milk can be made from grinding up chalk.
Oats look like thin, paper-like seeds. They are generally white, but may be slightly tan in color. Their shape generally ranges from an elipse to a sickle shape.
Oats is a grass crop. It is sown in spring, nowadays using a grain drill, which scatters the seed and covers it. This grassy plant eventually grows a seed stalk, the top of which contains the covered oat seed. When this "head" of the grain if full and dry, combines cut off the oats, separate it from the stems and chaff, and it is sold at grain elevators for production.
Soaking is an important step for oats, as they contain more phytates than almost any other grain. Soak 1 cup of oats for 12-24 hours in 1-1.5 cups of water for rolled oats or 2-3 cups of water for steel-cut oats. To this add one tablespoon of lemon lemon juice and one tablespoon of whole wheat flour, which is higher in phytase, the enzyme that helps to reduce the phytates. You do not need to drain before cooking. Bring the soaked oats to a boil on medium-high heat, then turn the heat lower to simmer with the lid on for about 5 minutes for rolled oats and 10 minutes or more for steel-cut oats. Enjoy your oatmeal with a little soy or nut milk, a drizzle of maple syrup, fruit, nuts, flax seeds, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Sure, just make chocolate chip cookies; they typically don't have any oats in them!
Oh yeah, there's nickel in oatmeal, buckwheat, most nuts, and legumes.
I had a hair test done and was shocked by how much nickel I had. After cutting back on nickel-rich foods for 6 months, my hair nickel levels returned to acceptable levels. Your mileage may vary.
The following vitamins that oats contain are:
Thiamin (B1)
Riboflavin(B2)
Niacin
Pantothenic acid
Vitamin B-6
Total Folate
Additional information on oats
Grains because it is mainly oats and if you add milk you can also say dairy. Added sugars can add empty calories especially if you buy "fruit oatmeal" which comes from a box because the dried fruits are processed and sugars are added for flavor.

If you have a wheat allergy you can eat Oats that are specifically labeled GLUTEN FREE.
You SHOULD NOT eat oats that are NOT specifically labeled "gluten free" as these oats contain wheat. This is because oats that are not gluten free use the same equipment to be processed as is used on wheat.
Gluten free oats only use equipment for processing that NEVER touches wheat. Therefore they are safe to eat and are not contaminated with wheat.
While it can be technically eaten any time of the day, oatmeal is most consumed during the breakfast period of the day.
NO. Just contacted General Mills and they confirmed it is still in production.
Oats were once considered a weed, but have now become a very important crop worldwide. It can be eaten by animals and humans alike. Oat kernels have two tough husks that must be removed through various processes such as cleaning, toasting, husking and scouring.
They have an outer covering of bran (rich in soluble and insoluble fiber), an endosperm (the inner part of which contains starch and energy), and at its core lies germ (which is full of iron and B vitamins).
Yes. Most dog foods and treats contain oatmeal. It is also good for sensative stomaches.
NOTHING is safe to use after expiration day because it forms bacteria. It is only safe 3 days after expiration date
The above statement is not true. Scientists have found that oatmeal stays good and is still nutritious after 28 years. The only thing is the taste suffers.
I have to imagine that it'd look just like unspoiled oatmeal, only maybe with a little mold.
There are so many:
Define "package." Is this just a little package you use to see the amount you want to put in your cereal, or a big package you bought in bulk from Cosco? Please be more specific in your question, as it really depends on the size of this so-called "package."
